Published on 23/12/19
Manchester City travel to Wolves on Friday 27 December needing to win their remaining 20 Premier League games to match last season’s total of 98 points. Even if they do that, there’s a good chance they’ll still finish behind a Liverpool team that is on course to amass the highest Premier League total ever.
But City must first beat a Wolves side that has already beaten them at the Etihad Stadium 2-0 this season, and have a Champions League spot in their sights. Check out our trends, analysis, and free tips for Wolves vs Man City.

Wolves vs Man City Match Details
Wolves vs Man City kicks-off at 7.45pm on Friday 27 December. It is being played at Molineux Stadium and is being shown live on Amazon Prime Video.
Wolves sit in sixth place in the Premier League table heading into the Christmas period, just five points short of a Champions League spot, but well on course for another year in the Europa League.
After being beaten 2-5 by Chelsea early in the season, Wolves then went on a 13-match unbeaten run that included beating Manchester City at The Etihad. That run was ended in a 1-2 home defeat by Tottenham, but Wolves showed that they aren’t willing to give up European football easily with a tenacious win at Norwich last weekend.
Manchester City Form
Kevin De Bruyne was sublime in Manchester City’s win over Leicester and Wolves could be in trouble if the Dutchman turns up in the same form here. But City haven’t always convinced this season, with home defeats to Wolves and Manchester United. Newcastle also caused them all sorts of problems in a 2-2 draw at St James’s Park, whilst they were shocking when losing 3-2 at Norwich earlier in the season.
Wolves vs Manchester City Head-To-Heads
Wolves and Manchester City have played each other 11 times in the Premier League. City have won six of those games, with Wolves winning three, whilst two have been draws.
But the two teams have shared the spoils at Molineux, with two wins each and one draw. City did win 3-0 at home last season, but that followed a 1-1 draw at Wolves. Of course, Wolves have already reversed the form at the Etihad this season.
