Andy Murray vs Sam Querrey

Sam Querrey beat Novak Djokovic at Wimbledon 2016, and the American’s resolve has to be admired after beating Jo-Wilfred Tsonga 3-2 in the last-32, and coming from 2-1 down to beat fellow big-server Kevin Anderson 3-2 in the last-16. Those two five-set matches will surely have taken their toll though and, in Murray, Querrey faces a rival he has beaten just once in 8 previous meetings, with that victory coming in 2010. More alarming for him is the fact Murray has won 6 of their 8 previous matches in straight sets, and Murray to win 3-0 looks the right call.

Milos Raonic vs Roger Federer

Stats-bettors may struggle to decline the big-prices about Milos Raonic beating 7-time Wimbledon Champion Roger Federer, as he has won 3 of their last 6 meetings, including their last 2. Those last 2 wins included a 5-set victory in last year’s Wimbledon semi-final, and it could be argued that Raonic has developed the perfect game for grass. However, though Raonic played well during his 5-set last-16 win over Alexander Zverev, it’s worth remembering that Federer dispatched the young German in much easier fashion in the final at Halle two-weeks ago, and the Federer of 2017 is far superior to the Federer of 2016. Therefore, Federer is fancied to maintain his run of not losing a set, and looks value to win 3-0.

Gilles Muller vs Marin Cilic

Gilles Muller played the match of his life to beat Rafa Nadal in the last-16, but those Herculean efforts in winning in the longest match of Wimbledon so far looks sure to leave him vulnerable against Cilic, a player who has won both their previous games. The first of those matches saw Cilic win two tie-breaks to win, whilst he won 2-1 in the semi-finals of Queen’s this year. Muller’s strong serve and volley game could win him a set, but Cilic has had much the easier run to the quarter-finals and can win 3-1.

Tomas Berdych vs Djokovic/Mannarino

The final match from the round of last-16 between Djokovic and Mannarino has yet to be resolved and, with heavy rain forecast for Wednesday, it may not be resolved until Thursday at the earliest. The pair did meet for the only time at Wimbledon last year though, and it was Djokovic who went through in straight sets. Djokovic has also won his last 12 against Berdych and, as he’s won the last 6 in straight sets, a 3-0 Djokovic would be the bet if results go to form.

*Djokovic 3-0 if he progresses to play Berdych
