Will It Be Unlucky 13 For Chelsea?

Published on April 14, 2017 by Tim @ Betting Gods

Chelsea have 7-points in-hand with 7 games to go in the Premier League and, though a trip to Old Trafford probably wouldn’t be high on anyone’s list when you’re trying to win a Premier League Title, Chelsea haven’t lost any of their last 12 games to United. We’ve tips for that game, as well as Tottenham vs Bournemouth, and Southampton vs Manchester City.

Tottenham vs Bournemouth (Saturday 12.30)

Tottenham have again been awarded the Saturday lunchtime kick-off slot as they bid to close the 7-points gap on Premier League leaders Chelsea with just 7-games to go and, if they can beat Bournemouth, it will add extra pressure to a Chelsea team who must travel to Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon. Tottenham should be up to the task, and the only real surprise is that you can get 3/10 about that outcome with Tottenham going for a twelfth consecutive home win in the Premier League. Perhaps that’s because Bournemouth have been stringing together some good results of late with three successive away-draws against Manchester United, Southampton and Liverpool, and they certainly need a few more points from their last six games to be assured of avoiding relegation. However, after a 3-1 home-loss to Chelsea, Bournemouth are expected to suffer a similar fate here – and the Wheelbarrow-Boys will be in to bag plenty of the 3/10.

Southampton vs Manchester City (Saturday 5.30)

Manchester City will be keen to claim all 3-points here with Manchester United breathing down their necks for the fourth Champions League spot, though United could still claim that spot regardless of whether they catch City in the Premier League if they win the Europa League. However, it’s Southampton who have had the best of this fixture in the last four seasons with two wins and a draw. Southampton might not have much left to play for, however 3 wins and a draw in their last 5 games suggest they’re playing well, and the value-bet must be to lay City.

Manchester United vs Chelsea (Sunday 4.00)

Manchester United are 4 points behind neighbours Manchester City with a game in hand as they bid to steal fourth spot off them late in the season, however the statistics strongly suggest that taking 3 points off an inform Chelsea side is going to be very difficult for them. United haven’t beaten Chelsea in their last 12 head-to-heads in all competitions, including losing at Chelsea in both the League and FA Cup this season. However, of the 5 matches that have been played at Old Trafford in this period, 4 of them have been draws, including the last 3 – and the draw must be the value-bet at 9/4.
