Who Will Win The 2019/20 Premier League? [Tips Inside]

Posted May 13, 2019 | By Tim @ Betting Gods

The dust has barely settled on a pulsating 2018/19 Premier League season, but the bookies have already voiced their opinions as to which team will be the 2019/20 Premier League Champions.

Normally, I wouldn’t start looking at the odds until August, but there does look to be a value bet at the early available odds, which may not last too long.

Check out our analysis of next year’s potential Premier League challengers and our free tip for the 2019/20 Premier League season.

Manchester City – Odds 4/5

Manchester City’s victory this season was their fourth Premier League Title in eight-years, but the first time they had won back-to-back top-flight titles in the club’s history. They also became the first club to win consecutive titles since Manchester United completed a hat-trick between 2007 and 2009.

Of course, City will be trying to complete their own Premier League hat-trick next season. If they manage it, they will join their neighbours United as the only clubs to have achieved this feat, but United have achieved it twice.

After two record-breaking seasons, it’s impossible to dismiss City’s claims. However, players like David Silva and Vincent Kompany aren’t getting any younger, and it remains to be seen if Pep Guardiola can find high-quality players that can play as consistently as those two.

Liverpool – Odds 3/1

A final total of 97 points officially makes Liverpool the best runners-up that the Premier League has ever seen, and that total would have seen them crowned champions in all but the last two seasons.

A win in the Champions League Final would be a fitting consolation prize for a side that has performed so well week after week, and they’re firm favourites to get it. If they are crowned champions of Europe, this could well help Jurgen Klopp attract the kind of world-class creative midfielder that could make Liverpool almost unbeatable.

They’ve certainly got the best defence in the Premier League, whilst Mo Salah continues to grab plenty of goals. Sadio Mane also took a giant step forward in the finishing department this season, whilst Roberto Firmino could have an even bigger part to play next season.

Tottenham – Odds 12/1

Tottenham also have the chance to win the Champions League, and that victory could open the floodgates for Tottenham to attract the players they need to compete with Manchester City and Liverpool. After not spending any money on new players last season, because of their new ground being built, the Tottenham board should release some funds this season with the building work completed.

Tottenham’s new ground is also a big positive, and their chances will be boosted further if they can turn it into as much as a fortress as the old White Hart Lane was before they closed it.

However, an horrendous finish to this year’s Premier League highlighted their frailties when missing a few key players, and they will have to buy well to close the gap having finished 27 points behind Man City this year.

Manchester United – 20/1

The opinion of how Manchester United will perform next season has divided the bookies, with some going as short as 9/1, but others going as big as 20/1.

However, Ole Gunner Solskjaer may have initially proved himself to be a charismatic motivator, but he failed to prove himself a great coach when the initial euphoria of his opening results wore off.

Having failed to qualify for the Champions League, Solskjaer’s biggest problem is going to be finding the players he needs to make United a great side again and it could prove another difficult season for the Red Devils.

Chelsea – 25/1

It’s amazing to think that any team that has won two of the last five Premier League titles can be 25/1, and that does highlight just how quickly things can turn around in football.

Interestingly, only eight Premier League titles have been won by a team that didn’t finish either first or second the previous season, but Chelsea’s last three titles have come after failing to fill either of the top-two spots in the preceding year.

However, despite claiming a Champions League spot, Chelsea are facing a ban that means they won’t be able to sign any players in the next two transfer windows. They’s also facing the potential departure of Eden Hazard, two things that suggest they can’t pull off another shock.

Arsenal – 30/1

A back-door entry into next year’s Champions League is still possible for Arsenal if they win the Europa League final. But whilst that may mean the Arsenal board are willing to open their cheque books this summer, Man City and Liverpool will surely get the first pick of any top-players that come available.

Unai Emery has also yet to fully endear himself to the Arsenal fans, and it remains to be seen as to whether he can get the best out of a squad that has mainly underachieved in recent seasons.

2019/20 Premier League Title Verdict

It’s hard to see Arsenal, Chelsea, or even Manchester United attracting the players they’ll surely need to mount a challenge next season, whilst Tottenham may also fall into that boat if they don’t win the Champions League Final.

As boring as it may sound, that means next season could be a repeat of last season with Man City and Liverpool going toe-to-toe all the way to the wire. This was no ordinary Premier League season either, as City’s and Liverpool’s combined points total was massively superior to any other Premier League winner and runner-up in any previous seasons.

That suggests they’re a class apart from the others and, with money to spend and attractive profiles, both could easily strengthen their squads further this summer.

Many professional punters may back both Man City and Liverpool at the available odds, but the best value looks to be Liverpool each-way at 3/1 at 1/3 of the odds.

on known form liverpool and man city cannot be opposed big punters will no doubt back both teams to show a profit, thats my bet, however the value has to be Arsenal EW without the unexplainable letting in 3 goals in 3 matches at the seasons end , very unlike arsenal ,they could have finished 3rd in the premier league do need to buy a defender or two and im not happy with the goal keeper.
look for any value bets bookies may offer I got arsenal to be in top six at 1/5 last season 20% my bank gives me 1%-2%
good luck to all for the coming season and always enjoy your team they are doing their best for you
