Chester Horse Racing Tips – Sat 30th May
Brian Mellerick (the lucky winner of the Chester Races competition) is off to the races today with 5 tickets, £100 cash and these expert Horse Racing Tips….
Have a great day Brian.
Mark Johnston often books Franny Norton to ride his “expected to win” horses at Chester and, though he will probably be odds-on, it is very hard to look past Beaverbrook. He led a decent sort for a long way in his last race, should be able to get the lead from stall 3, and should be good enough to hold-on with the Johnston stable in excellent form.
Beaverbrook 2 points win @ 4/5 (Bet365)
Hopes N Dreams has led in all the races he’s won and he has the perfect opportunity to do that here from stall 2. He’s also won off a mark of 94 in the past but can race off a mark of 86. Trainer Kevin Ryan did have some disappointments last weekend, but has still had a few winners this week.
Hopes N Dreams 1 point each-way @ 6/1 (Betfair Sportsbook)
Jallota has his sights lowered by trainer Charlie Hills, which coincides nicely with a drop in class, his handicap mark dropped to a winning mark, and the stable being in form. He’s also well drawn in stall-2, and I can see him sitting in the second rank before picking up the leaders close home.
Jallota 1 point each-way @ 12/1 (Boylesports, Paddy Power, William Hill)
Nortron has led in two of his races before getting caught close home, and a handy draw in stall 2 and the drop back to 6-furlongs may prove perfect for him.
Nortron 1 point win @ 11/4 (Bet365)
Thunder Pass was always prominent when he won at Goodwood last month and, though he was nearly caught at the end of that 14-furlong trip, he was 3 lengths clear at the distance of this race. He went up 8lb for that, but his two turf runs have been very progressive, and Hughie Morrison has his string in excellent form.
Thunder Pass 1 point each-way @ 5/1 (Bet365, BetVictor)
Perceus is a speculative selection as he’s one of the few to not have already chanced his arm at 12-furlongs, and looks sure to improve for the step-up in trip. A draw in stall 4 means he should be able to get a good position.
Perceus 0.5 points each-way @ 8/1 (Ladbrokes, Coral)
Ardmay remains on a workable mark, and from stall 3 may be able to get the run of the race this time after finishing second to one of today’s rivals Mica Mika last time. Is also a course and distance winner.
Ardmay 1 point each-way @ 13/2 (Bet365, BetVictor, Paddy Power)
