Romford Greyhound Racing Tips- 18th June
This is the first in my series of weekly Greyhound Racing tips blogs, I have more years experience with the dogs than I care to remember. Hopefully with these blogs I can share my experience and knowledge to help you to earn a few bob. We’ll start off this week with Romford.
20.18 – Race 4 on the card is where we find our first tip of the evening in the form of the Paul Young trained Hi Noon Brae (Trap 5.) Unexposed over this trip after just the two starts we will soon know our fate with this front runner. He is pretty much a must lead to win type but he has the early toe to turn in front and that should be enough in a race where the 3 is the only real finisher.
Tip – Trap 5 Hi Noon Brae
20.50 – If the first selection does the business then Pittsburgh Storm (trap 5) looks an even better wager in race 6 having beaten that first fancy two starts ago. David Mullins son of Ace Hi Rumble normally has to do things the hard way from the back which always necessitates a slice of luck but a clear run would put him well in charge of this field. He is well capable of going into the 35.80’s if putting everything together and that would be more than enough to score.
Tip – Trap 5 Pittsburgh Storm
21.06 – The penny appears to be dropping with Dalis Picture (trap 2) now, having looked very green in his early races. Still just 18 months old he is open to masses of improvement especially considering he’s only ever had a clear run on his debut. He should get a nice tow into the race from the three dog and can use his middle pace to best effect to nip up the inside rounding the final two bends. The potential is there for him to go into the 24.30’s but something about 24.50 should be more than enough to suffice.
Tip – Trap 2 Dalis Picture
21.56 – The final choice comes much later in the card with another Paul Young inmate in the form of Young Katie (trap 1.) She has been in the doldrums for a while now although has been showing more signs of life in her past couple of races. She has completely lost her trapping boots but there isn’t an awful lot of early around her here and she might get more of a sight of the bunny as a result. She won an A1 in March and finds herself here in an A2 against four recent A3 winners so it looks like a great opportunity for her to get back to winning ways.
Tip – Trap 1 Young Katie
