It looks a great Saturday of Premier League Football this week, with headline matches between Manchester City and Liverpool and Everton vs Tottenham. We’ve tips for those games, as well as the matches between Arsenal vs Bournemouth, Southampton vs Watford, and Stoke vs Manchester United.
Manchester City vs Liverpool (12.30)
Odds-on quotes for Manchester City look on the short-side in this weekend’s lunchtime top-6 clash, and it’s hard to see why the bookies have priced-up City on the wrong side of even-money considering they haven’t won any of their last 6 games against Liverpool. The results of the last two head-to-heads at the Etihaad have been 1-1 and 1-4, whilst the last 4 games at Anfield have ended 1-0, 3-0, 1-1 and 2-1. Add in the fact that Liverpool Manager Jurgen Klopp has an outstanding record against the top-6 teams – and City must be a lay.

Arsenal vs Bournemouth (3.00)
Bournemouth have taken just one point off Arsenal in their two seasons in the Premier League, with the last two being high-scoring affairs, finishing 3-1 and 3-3. However, whilst both teams have been leaking plenty of goals this season, Arsenal have failed to score in their last two games against Stoke and Liverpool, whilst Bournemouth have found the net just once in three games. Therefore, whilst the bookies think this will be a high-scoring affair judged on last season’s results, it might be worth backing less than 2.5 goals, as both the previous season’s games ending 2-0.
Everton vs Tottenham (3.00)
There’s been little between these two teams over the last couple of seasons, with 3 of their last 4 games ending in draws, including the last two games at Everton. Both teams have also made similar starts to the season, losing 2-0 to Chelsea, and winning one and drawing one of their other two games. Therefore, the general 11/10 for a Spurs win looks way to short and, whilst the percentage play is to probably lay Tottenham – past results tempt me to take a chance on the draw at the prices.

Southampton vs Watford (3.00)
Both teams are undefeated this season, with a win and two draws, and neither looks likely to roll over easily in the heat of battle. The last 4 games between the two teams have produced two Southampton wins and two draws, one of those draws being at Southampton last season, but the fact that Watford’s new manager seems to know the time of day suggests Watford look capable of getting a point.

Stoke vs Manchester United (3.00)
The two teams fought out two 1-1 draws last season but, whilst this isn’t traditionally a great fixture for Manchester United, Jose Mourinho looks to have his team right where he wants them at the moment after starting the season with victories to nil – and they look worth backing to continue the pattern here.
