Man Utd Vs Man City Free Tips [Sun 8th March]
The latest edition of the Manchester Derby comes at a crucial stage of the 2019/20 Premier League season, especially for Man Utd. Now up to fifth in the table, Man Utd are best placed to take advantage of any late slips by either Chelsea or Leicester in the race for Champions League football. That means Ole Gunner Solskjaer’s team should be more motivated than City, with Pep Guardiola’s team seemingly cruising to second place.

Man Utd vs Man City Match Details
Man Utd vs Man City kicks-off at Old Trafford at 16.30 on Sunday 8 March. The match is being broadcast live on Sky Sports.
Man Utd Form
January was a poor month for Man Utd, but new creative midfielder Bruno Fernandes seems to have sparked new life into them, and they’re unbeaten in six matches in all competitions since his arrival.
Wins against Chelsea, Watford, and Club Brugge have been consolidated with three draws, whilst Solskjaer will be especially pleased that Man Utd have conceded just two goals in those six games and scored 12.
Man City Form
Despite not looking as good as the team that have won the last two Premier League titles, City claimed a third successive EFL Cup win on Sunday, which followed a stirring midweek first-leg victory over Real Madrid in the Champions League.
City did concede in both those games but had kept two consecutive clean sheets in the Premier League before that during wins over Leicester and West Ham. However, they’re not quite the invincible team they once were, highlighted by two defeats without scoring before their latest run of four wins.
Man Utd vs Man City Head-To-Heads
There have already been three Man derbies this season, with Man Utd emerging 2-1 winners at the Etihad in December. Man Utd took a 2-0 lead through Rashford and Martial, before Otamendi scored a late consolation goal.
Man Utd also won their latest match at the Etihad 1-0 in the second leg of their EFL Cup semifinal, though that wasn’t enough to stop City reaching the final after Pep Guardiola had earlier masterminded a 3-1 win at Old Trafford in the first leg.
That was City’s third consecutive win at Old Trafford, after they won away against Man Utd 1-2 in December 2017 and 0-2 in November 2018.
