According to Forbes magazine the top 100 earning athletes from 21 countries in 11 sports sum a cumulative amount of $3.11 billion in one year!

Let’s take a look who earned what in 2017…

Cristiano Ronaldo – $93M
Portuguese Footballer, according to FIFA he is the best player in the world.
Plays for Real Madrid on a contract of more than $50m.
Also, he signed a lifetime deal with Nike worth upward of $1 billion.

LeBron James – $86.2M
NBA’s four-time MVP.
His $31 million salary in 2016-17 made him only the third NBA player to earn $30 million in a season after Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant.

Lionel Messi – $80M
Argentinian, Barcelona’s football team captain.
One of his biggest incomes is from the lifetime contract he has with the German sportswear brand Adidas.
At age 30 Messi is one of the legends of football around the world.

Roger Federer – $64M
The first tennis player on the list, Federer age 36 from Switzerland is the best in his sport.
His biggest sponsors are among Nike, Mercedes, Rolex, Barilla, Moet & Chandon and many more.
His eponymous foundation has raised $40 million with $30 million donated to educational programs in Africa.

Kevin Durant – $60.6M
The Golden State Warriors basketball player is the second highest earner of the NFL.
Durant’s bigger earning come from Nike, Beats, American Family Insurance, BBVA, Sparkling Ice, Panini and NBA
Nike signed Durant to a 10-year extension in 2014 worth as much as $300 million.

Andre Luck – $50M
Luck is not even 30 years old and he just signed a 5-year contract with the Colts for $123M.
Becoming NFL’s highest-paid player based on average salary.
