Greyhound Racing Tips – 2nd October

Hove and Henlow are live on RPGTV sky channel 212 from 7.15pm this evening.

Hove 7.31-10.26 featuring 7 open races.

Henlow 7.39-10.03 all graded card.

Hove recently changed the traps in use, anybody ‘race reading’ will notice a marked difference in the split times, long gone are the 4.08 type of ping times to the winning post first time around, an example of this is the very pacey Jaytee Firefly could only clock a 4.38 split last time out having previously clocked 4.08 and 4.10. It’s certainly worth noting until the form settles down.

JAYTEE FIREFLY from T2 can get us off to a winning start in the 8.18 if leading around the first bend as expected, Paul Young’s Romford raider ran well during the Brighton Belle heats back in August and if repeating those kind of clocks the daughter of Rayvin Giovanni could be away and gone, the key to the race will be clearing T1 early, but based on recent splits T2 should clear T1 at trap rise.

EVANTA EL CRECO runs from T5 in the 8.50 at Hove, the Yarmouth raider went into notebooks last time out staying on very well to get within half a length of the impressive Brother Gerard on Hove debut, on only his fifth racecourse appearance the lightly raced son of Head bound is one to watch in the market, holding kennel mate Droopys Alfred from T6 will make or break the race, ‘Alfred’ is very pacey on the bunny and although recent runs have been very disappointing the former William Hill puppy derby semi finalist is clearly capable on his day.

SCREEN CRITIC has flown around Hove on his last two visits and is fancied to make all again from T5 in the 9.24 open race over the 515 meter distance, last time out Screen Critic pinged out and clocked a 4.37 split from the new Hove traps, if repeating that effort he will lead round and it should be all over bar the shouting, Jet Stream Smurf and Glenpaden Bolt are respected and rate as dangers.

VIPAR AMIGO has a plot draw (T5) in the 9.40 open race over the 475 meter trip, the solo wide seed trained by Jason Heath will take all the beating. Lode Esteem from T4 will be moving towards the rails early and that will give the selection all the room out wide to avoid the potential first bend trouble. Ballymac Loch T3 is capable on his day but has been slightly below par recently, while Glenvale Stevie is likely to lead early from T2 he is not the strongest of stayers and the selection can pick him up off the last bend.

      Thanks Bruce.
I agree, Michael certainly seems to know his stuff from the chats I’ve have with him in recent days/weeks so fingers crossed we’ve got some good advice to follow over the coming months.
