Greyhound Racing Preview 7th, 8th & 9th October

Racing Post Greyhound TV returns to our screens this evening with competitive all cards from Sunderland and Romford, the bookmakers have priced up the action so let’s crack on and find the winners!

The PGT free Friday tip this week is Savana Shaun who runs from T1 in the maiden open race at 8.18 from Romford over the standard four bend trip of 400 metres. The August 14 son of Lenson Bolt caught the eye last time out over course and distance when he dived for the rails at trap rise and ran well after that without ever getting to the front. Tonight from what looks an ideal drawn Shaun can hold the rails into the first corner and hit the front down the back straight.

Romford Greyhound

A little later on look out for Teejayspowerhawk when he runs from T4 in the stayers open race at 9.56 from Romford over the six bend 575 metre trip. The Paul Young trained runner will be staying on well late on and in a race that could get messy with plenty looking for the early lead he’s an interesting runner. The key to the race is what happens to Boleyn Debbie from T2, the early paced sort has been drawn in T5 and T6 recently and she now finds herself in trap 2, if she moves off at the first corner and hampers those up with the pace that could play into the hands of Teejayspowerhawk.

Over at Sunderland keep an eye on Pennys Wanda when she lines up from T1 in the A4 graded race at 10.03 over the standard four bend trip of 450 metres. The consistent early paced railer looks the likely race leader and she should go very close on the bunny. Shes not the strongest coming home but at a price she could be one to include in forecast bets.

Saturday – Newcastle live on Racing Post Greyhound TV

On Saturday evening all eyes will be on Newcastle for the William Hill Northern Puppy Derby and All England Cup semi finals plus heats of the 2016 Great North Run and Angel Of The North Oaks.

One that caught the eye last week and could be worth supporting on Saturday night is Droopys Yen (T4) in the 7.39 Puppy Derby semi final. The Jimmy Wright trained runner showed huge middle gears last time out and looks a pup going places, look out for prices for this one on Saturday morning. Betfair, Paddy Power and Bet365 who all price up fairly early and offer best odds on all the RPGTV racing.

Sunday – Henlow live on Racing Post Greyhound TV

On Sunday evening the RPGTV racing week concludes with action from Henlow, catch all the racing on Sky channel 468 from 7.15pm. The feature races are the RPGTV Henlow Derby trial stake events that take place at 7.30, 7.45 and 8.00.

In the first of those look out for Charity Buster who runs from T5. The Perry Barr raider has plenty of previous course and distance form and will take all the beating on the bunny.

The second trial stakes race at 7.45 can go to Towcester raider California. The Mark Wallis trained wide seed is blessed with blistering early gears and if he hits the front early on it should be all over bar the shouting down the back straight.

Thanks for checking out this weekend Premier Greyhound Tips blog.

Good luck if you’re having a bet this weekend.
