Greyhound Racing Preview – 26th, 27th & 28th February
It’s Friday which can mean only one thing – Romford and Sunderland live on Racing Post Greyhound Tv. If you are looking for all the latest greyhound tips you’ve certainly come to the right place, we will now guide you through this weekend’s action.
As ever on a Friday RPGTV will be live on Sky channel 212 and Freesat 401 from 7.15pm, Sunderland and Romford take centre stage with twenty five races in total including thirteen opens over a variety of trips plus twelve ultra-competitive graded races to try and work out, the bookmakers have priced up the action so let’s crack on and find the winners!
The PGT free Friday selection is Woe Annie who lines up from T1 in the maiden open race at 8.02 over the standard four bend trip of 400 meters at Romford. The Earnie Gaskin trained runner looks well drawn on the rails and with a ping break she will take all the beating tonight. The key to the race as ever at Romford will be the break, lead at the rails and hit the back straight in front and our selection should break her maiden tag tonight.
PGT FREE FRIDAY SELECTION – WOE ANNIE – T1 – 8.02 Romford
A little later on look out for Hoolys Joker (T6) in the 8.34 open race from the London road venue Romford. Ideally drawn as the solo wide in the field the Jason Heath trained Hove raider looks a lively runner in this race, with one of his better breaks he would be a danger to all. The slight concern is the lack of a recent victory, in recent races Hoolys Joker has been losing the race at the traps with tardy starts, he can’t afford to forget his trapping boots again tonight in this very competitive open race.
On Romford debut Ginas Lad is worth noting in the market when he runs from T1 in the 9.24 open race over the 400-metre trip. The recent recruit to the Mark Wallis kennel missed his break in a recent trial yet still recorded a satisfactory clock, with a better break tonight he will surely go close for the champion trainer.
Over at Sunderland look out for Blackrose Roger who drops into A2 graded company at 10.03. The November 12 son of Vans Escalade looks ideally drawn on the rails and he will take all the beating if he leads off the second bend.
Saturday – Crayford and Newcastle live on Racing Post Greyhound Tv
On Saturday evening the RPGTV cameras move onto Crayford and Newcastle for competitive graded racing. One that appeals at this early stage is Crossfield Champ who runs from T6 in the final race on the card at Crayford, the fast starting wide seed looks the likely race leader and once in the bunny he will prove hard to peg back. Check Bet365 and Betfair for price on the race on Saturday afternoon, both bookmakers offer best odds guaranteed on all the RPGTV action.
Sunday – Henlow live on Racing Post Greyhound Tv
The final show of the week will be from Henlow on Sunday evening, the action gets underway at 6.30pm live on Sky channel 212, join the RPGTV panel for all the latest news, market movers and non-runner information.
One that appeals at this early stage is Savana Jack (T3) in the 692-metre stayers race at 9.15. The October 12 son of Kinloch Brae bolted up over course and distance last week and he looks the one to beat again on Sunday. If Jack breaks in best fashion it should be all over bar the shouting down the back straight.
