Greyhound Betting Tips : 24th – 26th September

Racing Post Greyhound TV returns to our screens this evening with competitive racing from both Sunderland and Romford, the show is live on Sky channel 212 from 7.15pm.

The PGT free Friday tip is TEEJAYSPOWERHAWK who runs from T1 in the Romford Friday Night 500 Stayers Final at 9.06 over the six bend 575 meter trip. The Paul Young trained son of Westmead Hawk was very unlucky not to win in the heats last Friday when he found early trouble before staying on well to be beaten just half a length. The key to victory this evening will be the break and run into the first corner, if Teejayspowerhawk can hold his pitch on the rails and turn within striking distance it’s race on. Pharisee Flyer (T5) beat our selection last time out and has a chance with a ping break again this evening, Fivestar Clipper (T6) hinted at a return to form last week and he would be a danger to all on the bunny out wide.

A little later on the Romford Puppy Cup Final at 9.24 looks a cracker. The race is full of early paced youngsters, the break and run into the first corner will be vital – whichever greyhound manages to lead round will take all the beating. Roxholme Scolari (T1) could be in the perfect position to take the race, if the Hayley Keightley trained youngster breaks level he could be the one to lead off the second bend and kick for home down the back straight. My Little Dream (T6) beat Roxholme Scolari in the heats last week and the Belle Vue raider has a chance this evening if she repeats the flying 3.76 sectional.

Saturday – Newcastle and Crayford live on Racing Post Greyhound TV

On Saturday the RPGTV camera’s move onto Crayford and Newcastle, don’t forget to check out PGT for all the Saturday tips. Over at Towcester one that catches the eye is Face The Blade who runs from T6 in the 7.58 open race over the standard four bend trip of 480 meters. The Kevin Hutton trained runner is a class act and if he breaks well he will be the one to beat in this race, as ever the price offered by the bookmakers on the day will determine if Face The Blade is worth a bet.

Sunday – Henlow live on Racing Post Greyhound TV

As ever on a Sunday evening the RPGTV camera’s will be at Henlow for a decent mixed card of open and graded racing. The feature races are the RPGTV Henlow Derby trial stakes over the standard 460 meter trip, there are three trial races at 8.15, 8.30 and 8.45.

The first trial stakes race at 8.15 looks wide open, Jet Stream Gale from the Kevin Hutton Towcester based kennel is likely to prove popular and the early paced son of Ace Hi Rumble would be a lively runner on the bunny.

The second trail stakes race at 8.30 can go to the classy local runner Blackrose Vic from T3, the Eric Cantilion trained performer bolted up last time out and a repeat of that run should be good enough to take this race.

The third and final trail stakes race at 8.45 looks a race to the first bend with Nice Chance (T1), Blackrose Tiny (T2) and El Lema (T3) all looking to claim the early lead, whichever greyhound manages to get on the bunny be very hard to beat in a field full of leaders.

That’s this weekend’s action all wrapped up, don’t forget to sign up to PGT and receive a 14 day free trial at
