Free Greyhound Tips 30th-31st July
Greyhound punters have plenty to get stuck into this evening with Hove live on Sky Sports from 7pm, the Sussex Cup Final takes centre stage at 9.08 and the race looks wide open – the bookies have priced up the action so lets crack on and find the winners!
The PGT free tip of the week is Leons Buck from T1 in the Coral Puppy Trophy Final at 7.26. The Hall Green raider was a huge eye catcher in the heats last week over course and distance and looks ideally drawn on the rails this evening to turn handy and hit the front down the back straight – the key to victory will be holding T3 into the first bend or turning within striking distance of that rival. Ballmac Leo (T6) beat our selection last time out and looks well drawn out in trap six but if Leons Buck turns within a length or two he will take all the beating. The 7/2 on offer with Ladbrokes looks decent value about our selection.
PGT FREE TIP – LEONS BUCK – T1 – 7.26 Hove
One to watch in the market this evening is Rock Cinta from T6 in the Coral Ladies Trophy Final at 8.33, the solo wide seed looks ideally draw and in a race full of railers it could get messy on the inside, with a ping break Rock Cinta will surely be hard to beat. Franks Dream (T1) will be looking to move off at trap rise and that could cause trouble for those drawn down the centre of the track.
A little later on look out Roxholme Magic from T6 in the marathon over the 930 meter trip at 8.51. The Hayley Keightley trained daughter of Definite Opinion is a marathon superstar in the making and she looks ideally drawn in T6 this evening, she will not be a betting proposition however and for me it’s just a race to sit back watch and enjoy. Don’t expect to see Roxholme Magic around the first few bends but if she gets into a position off the four or fifth bend she should hit the front and power clear of this field. Droppys Tamera (T5) is the likely leader but supporters of the Dean Childs trained bitch will be looking to see where Roxholme Magic has turned, if avoiding serious early trouble its hard to see past Roxholme Magic. Market Heights (T1) has a nice draw to work from and could be the forceast play in the race to finish second behind the favourite.
The Coral Sussex Cup Final itself at 9.08 looks wide open, the break and run into the first bend will be vital and whichever greyhound manages to lead round will take the world of beating. Burgess Oscar from T1 will be staying on well and is one that could win from off the pace. Good luck to all owners, trainers and connections with a runner in the final.
Friday Romford and Sunderland live on Racing Post Greyhound TV
As ever on a Friday evening greyhound punters have Romford and Sunderland live on RPGTV from 7.15pm.
Both cards look very competitive and finding winners could be very tricky, as ever the prices offered by the bookmakers on the day will make or break which greyhounds are betting propositions.
The Romford Friday Night 500 Dual Distance Final at 9.24 looks at the mercy of of the Mark Wallis trained Black Francis from T2, if the railer breaks level he will take the world of beating, the price is likely to be on the short side however and it could be a ‘no bet’ race. Star Mirren Sky (T6) has previouslly won over course and distance and could the the alternative to the likely favourite Black Francis.
One to look out for could be solo wide seed Magical Garth (T6) in the 9.40 at Romford over the six bend 575 meter trip. The wide seed looks ideally drawn and if Yarmouth raider can break well and clear the pace inside he will take all the beating. The Kevin Boon trained son of Shoemakers Lad often finds one too good, but this looks a gilt edged opportunity and one the wide runner should take. Too Swift (T1) is a capable sort and rate as danger especially if leading at the rails.
