Best Greyhound Tips For 7th, 8th & 9th August
Friday – Romford and Sunderland live on Racing Post Greyhound TV
Racing Post Greyhound TV is live on Sky channel 212 this evening from 7.15pm with competitive action from Romford and Sunderland for greyhound punters to try and work out, the bookmakers have priced up the action so lets crack on and find the winners.
The PGT free tip of the week is Flemish Status who runs from T5 in the 8.50 at Romford over the six bend 575 meter trip. The son of Razldazl Jayfkay has always looked the type to do well once stepped up in trip and this race looks an ideal opportunity with plenty of the field slow away, if Flemish Status can lead round he should kick clear off the second bend and put some room between himself and the chasing pack. Swift Tiler (T4) rates as the main danger especially if that rival manages to avoid an early bump and turns a handy second. Outdoor Rumble (T1) has been a frustrating sort to follow over the last couple of months but the Kevin Boom trained runner would be a danger to all if holding the rails.
PGT FREE FRIDAY TIP – FLEMISH STATUS – 8.50 Romford
The two feature races on the Romford card are the 9.06 Romford Friday Night 500 Sprint and the 500 Standard Final at 9.24, both competitions look wide open and as ever the break and run into the first bend will prove vital at the London road circuit Romford, Swamp Thing from T1 impressed last week in the sprint heats and the four bend performer will be a huge runner if leading at the rails this evening, while in the standard the race is all about whether Bolshoi Booze (T5) pings and leads round, if the Phil Simmonds trained runner does he will be very hard to beat.
Over at Sunderland the feature event is the 10.35 A1 graded race over the standard 450 meter trip, Dinnginton Lad (T1) is approaching veteran stage in his career now but the early paced railer is still more than capable in this type of grade and if leading at the rails he could show his younger rivals the way home. Farloe Bugatti (T6) will be staying on well and could be the one to challenge Dinnginton Lad off the last bend.
Saturday – Newcastle and Crayford live on Racing Post Greyhound TV
As on a Saturday evening greyhound punters have a very tricky Newcastle card to try and work out plus Crayford featuring the Ladbrokes Dual Distance Hurdle Final at 8.34. The heats of the dual distance event was staged last week live on RPGTV and Lenson Royale made a huge impression when picking Handy Henry over the four bend 380 meter trip, now stepped up to the six bend 540 meter distance Lenson Royale has every chance to turn handy and hit the front around the third and fourth bends, if the Ricky Holloway trained son of Godsend breaks well he should go very close. Ricky Holloway also trains Razldazlnewstalk (T3) and Soviet Military (T5) in the race, if either of those where to turn handy they would rate as huge dangers to Lenson Royale.
Sunday – Henlow live on Racing Post Greyhound TV
The final RPGTV show of the week is live on Sunday evening from Henlow and as ever we have a very tricky mixed card to try and work out, eight graded races are followed by four open races at the end of the card, at this very early stage one that appeals on the draw is Westmead Chris from T6 in the 8.45 Henlow ‘460 Monkey Final’, the early paced wide runner has recently returned to the track and after two recent runs he should be spot on fitness wise and can take this race if breaking in best fashion – as ever the price offered by the bookmakers on the day will determine if Westmead Chris is worth supporting in the market.
