Greyhound Racing Tips & Preview 14th – 16th October
Published on 14/10/16
All eyes will be on Romford this evening as the London road venue hosts a decent mixed card live on Racing Post Greyhound TV, catch all the action live on Sky channel 468 from 7.15pm.
The PGT free Friday selection for this week is Leap Aboard who runs from T5 in the maiden stayers race at 10.11 from Romford over the six bend 575 metre trip. Lead Aboard has been in my notebook for a number of weeks and now stepped up to six bends for the first time he looks a lively runner. The key to victory will be the break and run into the first corner, on the bunny he could prove hard to peg back. Karchi (T6) won well last time out and looks the obvious danger. Swift Hesilia (T1) who has previously gone well over course and distance commands respect and is one to watch in the market.
PGT FREE FRIDAY SELECTION – LEAP ABOARD – T5 – 10.11 Romford
The final race on the Romford at 10.40 look a wide open stayers event and it will be interesting to see how the bookmakers price this one up. Classy but frustrating Teejayspowerhawk (T1) is more than capable of winning a race like this but he often finds one to good after finding early trouble. Overcharge (T3) has chances but he will need to trap in best fashion to cheat a middle draw. Boyneviewfantasy (T5) and Burgess Dame (T6) can both pop out and show early pace and both would surely go close on the bunny.
Over at Sunderland look out for Pinpoint Dazl who runs from T4 in the A1 graded race at 9.48 over the standard four bend trip of 450 metres. The Kelly Macari trained daughter of Archaton Pine has been off the track for twelve months but the recent 27.43 trial suggests all is well and a big run is expected, look out for market support for this one.
Saturday – Crayford and Newcastle live on Racing Post Greyhound TV
On Saturday evening the RPGTV camera’s move onto Crayford and Newcastle for competitive graded action, catch all the racing live on Frontrunner TV Sky channel 468 from 7.15pm and via bookmakers streams when you place a bet on the racing.
Sunday – Henlow live on Racing Post Greyhound TV
On Sunday evening the racing week concludes with the heats of the RPGTV Henlow derby live on Racing Post Greyhound TV. Look out for prices from Betfair, Bet365 and Paddy Paddy on Sunday morning, all three firms offer best odds guaranteed so it really does pay to take the early odds.
One that appeals at this early stage and is worth second look in the market is Rahyvira Ming who runs from T3 in the third heat of the Henlow derby at 8.00pm. The June 14 son of Ashford Castle has been showing blistering early pace at home track Harlow and is open to plenty of improvement with only three runs on these shores since moving over from Ireland, if he’s a decent price on Sunday he could be worth a small play.
