Racing Post Greyhound TV returns to our screens this evening with competitive racing from Sunderland and Romford. Join the RPGTV panel on Sky channel 468 from 7.15pm for all the latest greyhound betting news, race previews and market mover information.

The PGT free Friday tip for this week is Canvas Costa who lines up from T1 in the 8.02 open race from Romford over the two bend sprint trip of 225 metres from the London road circuit. The Ernie Gaskin trained railer ran out an impressive winner over course and distance last week and he looks well drawn to follow up that success with a trap to line victory tonight. As ever the key to the race will be the break and run into the first corner, trap out in best fashion and it should be all over bar the shouting.

PGT FREE FRIDAY SELECTION – CANVAS COSTA – T1 – 8.02 Romford

Lightly raced Tomahawk Tagg looks the ideal 400 metre Romford dog and with two course and distance wins under his belt already in recent weeks he looks the one to beat in the maiden final at 9.06 where he lines up from T5. The concern for backers will be the draw, Tomahawk Tagg who has smashed out in 3.71 and 3.69 sectionals from T6 is now drawn in T5, if he pings again it will be all over but at short odds plenty will be looking to take him on from what could be a tricky draw in a very competitive race.

The maiden stayers race at 9.24 looks a race to the corner between wide seeds Roswell Roxanna in T5 and Droopys Elite who runs from T6. Slight preference is for Droopys Elite who made a huge impression on six bend debut last week and looked one to follow over intermediate six bend races like this. The Dean Childs trained wide seed will need to avoid an early bump but if she gets on the bunny she can power clear of the cashing pack and land this race.

Over at Sunderland look out for Droopys Yen who runs from T5 in the William hill standard open race at 8.26 over the four bend trip of 450 metres. The early paced middle seed won well last time out and a repeat of that run should be good enough to take this race.

Saturday – Crayford and Newcastle live on Racing Post Greyhound TV

On Saturday evening RPGTV moves onto Crayford for the Carlsberg Kent St Leger heat’s plus supporting opens over the six bend trip of 540 metres. The Kent Leger heats take place at 7.47, 8.18, 9.24 and 10.11 over the eight bend 714 metre distance.

One that appeals at this early stage and is worth a second look in the market is Tiddly Winks who runs from T3 in heat number 2 at 8.18. The early paced September 14 daughter of Kinloch Brae impressed over course and distance last week and could be one to follow throughout the competition.

Sunday – Henlow live on Racing Post Greyhound TV

As ever the RPGTV racing week comes to end on Sunday evening with a decent mixed card on show from Henlow. Catch all the racing live on Sky channel 468 from 6.15pm on Sky channel 468.

One that’s currently in the notebook and is down to run on Sunday evening is Eskes Champ who is due to line up from T2 in the 9.00 open race over the 550 metre trip. Drawn in T2 Eskes Champ will need a flyer to clear Beckjay Scooby (T1) who can pop out, but if we can avoid that rival into the first corner it’s race on as our selection stays this trip strong. Lightfoot Rafeal who runs from T3 is a decent sort and is also worth noting in the market. As ever the price offered by the bookmakers on Sunday afternoon and the track bookmakers at race time will determine whether Eskes Champ is worth supporting in the market.
