Greyhound Racing Tips – 9th October

Posted October 8, 2014 | By Michael @ Betting Gods

Last week we highlighted the chances of Evanta El Creco who won well in the 8.50 Hove 515m open race and rewarded punters who took the early 5/2, the other selections failed to land the prize, Screen Critic and Vipar Amigo both finished second while Jaytee Flyfire found early trouble after failing to clear the danger on his inside.

Moving onto the greyhound tips for tonight, and punters are spoilt for choice;

Thursday sees the return of open race action at Hove live on RPGTV, at Henlow it’s an all graded card, while over at Doncaster the Sky TV camera’s are there for the Yorkshire St Leger, plus seven supporting open races. Friday see’s Romford and Sunderland live on racing post greyhound TV from 7.15pm.

GOLDEN WONDER goes from T1 in the 8.19 race at Doncaster live on Sky sports, the Charlie Lister trained daughter of Premier Fantasy is one of the closest railers in training and is often involved in trouble when drawn down the middle, now in her favourite red jacket she should prove very difficult to beat, holding the railers early will be the key to success, Fired up Johnny will have her supporters but drawn in T4 she could be looking to move left at trap rise, Droopys Gonza (T5) looks a nice prospect and has a chance if there’s trouble between the front-runners.

BEAMING IMPACT can make a winning English début from T3 in the 8.34 open race at Hove live on RPGTV over the sprint trip of 285 meters, if repeating recent trial from the former Irish open racer will take all the beating, the draw looks ideal with T2 slow away and T1 making her Hove début without a trial, theres every chance the selection will lead round and it will be all over bar the shouting at the first bend, Memories on View T4 and How Zat from T6 rate as the dangers.

SCREEN CRITIC missed the break last Thursday but ran very well in defeat clocking 29.98 after turning 5th at the first bend, the Swindon raider is well drawn in T6 and can take the 9.06 Hove open race over the standard 515 meter trip, i expect the Kevin Hutton trained greyhound to ping out and make all. The obvious danger will be the classy Jaytee Lightning from T1, Paul Young’s greyhound seems to have lost a yard of early pace recently but if finding her trapping boots she rates as a massive danger.

Potential value selection of the night CENTURION SANDRA runs from T1 in the 9.40 stayers race over the 695 meter distance at Hove, ‘Sandra’ has run five times since returning from a seasonal break and should be spot on tonight, she needs to get on the bunny early and kick clear. Chicago won well last time out and confirmed a liking for a genuine six bend trip staying on well to clock 41.16. Riverside Tirana has run well around Crayford recently and will be staying on towards the finish. Fizzypop Magic from T6 is a complete unknown at the trip and could be worth a look in the market.

Final selection and NAP of the evening is DROOPYS TAMERA from T6 in the 9.56 at Hove, the solo wide seed has not been seen since running second on the 9th August in A4 grade over course and distance, however don’t let this put you off as the recent 29.97 trial shows that the daughter of greyhound derby winner Westmead Hawk is in fine form and fancied to take the prize, likely leader will be Cellini from T2 but if the selection turns handy watch her down the back straight and it should be all over off the last bend. Sakara Sky from T1 stays very well has a nice draw to work and rates as the danger.

    Interesting selections. Think Centurion Sandra is worth a few quid at a huge price from its favourite red box though I’m not convinced it is quite right yet. If Droopys Tamera’s trial time is right then it is a worthy nap and the second has broken 29 a few times at Wimbledon so it looks OK. Agree with Screen Critic also as it was desperate last week. I have backed Droopys Dave EW (1/3 place odds at 5/1) at Doncaster 8.34 as I think it may be better than these though I may have a saver on Swift Perth, also 5s as its times for the middle trip are very good and it may get home (only 1 staying run was within 2.5 lengths of Tambourine Man last December when just over 2 years old).
