The Sky cameras visit the North East for this week’s Greyhound racing tips with the Festival finals at Sunderland, we join them looking to get among the winners.
18.48 The first bet however comes before the coverage begins at 18.48 where Kullure Hunter looks to try and bring his trial form to the races. He scored on his Irish debut in a very smart 28.68 at Waterford but hasn’t adapted quite as well to life this side of the water. His trials have been good in the main and he deserves another chance to bring his best to the table.
Betting Tip – Trap 3 Kullure Hunter
19.34 Farley Chicken did connections proud making it to the semi finals of the Derby but his running style always suggested he would be better for the step up to six bends. He does have a tendency to get himself into a spot of bother but even lacking that little bit of trackcraft his main threat has a horrible draw outside him.
Betting Tip – Trap 3 Farley Chicken
20.34 This could be absolute carnage with five railers and a middle seed in a sprint so would be a minimum stakes type of race. The red and the stripes are the best drawn here with preference for Conna Trigger at the prices to get on the bunny and avoid the likely inside trouble.
Betting Tip – Trap 6 Conna Trigger
21.04 Bubbly Gold is going to be short here in the final of the Grand Prix but rightfully so with close to four lengths in hand over this field. He has the look of a potential star over this trip having looked swift of foot over shorter, noticeably at Hove with a sparking 29.61 having been crowded.
Betting Tip – Trap 1 Bubbly Gold
21.19 No great surprise that Pinpoint Maxi is a red hot favourite with the sponsors for the Classic having continued his unbeaten record with a demolition job in the semi finals. The draw in six could prove tricky but a vacant trap inside him and his sensational early toe can see him clear this field at the bend and scorch away again. For those who aren’t big odds on backers a finals double, Bubbly Gold and Pinpoint Maxi pays about 6/4 at time of writing.
Betting Tip – Pinpoint Maxi
