Greyhound Racing Tips – 18th December

Posted December 17, 2014 | By Michael @ Betting Gods

It’s top class action at Hove tonight with the Coral Christmas finals live on RPGTV – over at Henlow we have competitive graded action alongside the Cesarewitch Semi-finals and the Dual Distance heats, decent racing – so let’s crack on and find the winners!!

The first race to highlight is the 7.39 from Henlow, it’s a lowly A9 graded race but i think BALLYMAC KAYNE (T2) is a decent bet here.

The lightly raced youngster returned from a layoff recently and ran with credit but was never in with a winning chance, tonight he is likely to turn handy and can kick on down the back straight – key to the race will be avoiding any early trouble at the rails. Blackrose Dean (T4) shows good all round pace in this grade and has a chance if leading the wide runners.

BLACKROSE VIC (T1) will take all the beating in the 9.15 cesarewitch semi-final, the Eric Cantilion trained greyhound was knocked over at the first corner last week when drawn in T4, better drawn tonight in T1 he can make all, key to the race will be holding the pacey Blackstone Marco around the first couple of bends – Vic has to lead this field to win. Blackrose Ice (T4) has been running well since moving over from Ireland and has a chance with a ping break.

Over at Hove STANTON RANGER (T2) can take the Coral Christmas Maiden Final at 8.18, the middle seed is drawn in T6 here but that could suit in a race where most will be looking for the early lead at the rails, if the Kevin Hutton trained Towcester raider can keep wide and turn handy he will have every chance especially if repeating the 29.89 clock he recorded on the 3rd December.

Draws win races – and JET STREAM SMURF (T6) has a plot draw in the 9.06 open race over the standard 515 meter distance, the solo wide seed looks likely to lead out wide and its race on if turning with Borna Cheyne (T1) down the back straight. Borna Cheyne (T1) is interesting stepping up slightly in trip and could attract market support, but for me the selection is Smurf – who has regularly dipped below 30.00 and a similar clock would be good enough to take this race. Droopys Dave (T4) and Jimmy Nailed On (T5) will both be staying on well and could be the dangers close home.
