All eyes will be on Romford tonight as the London road track hosts thirteen open races live on Racing Post Greyhound Tv, catch all the action on Sky channel 468 from 7.15pm.
The PGT free Friday selection for this week is Newlawn Ned who lines up from T3 in the dual distance final at 9.06 over the six bend 575 metre trip from Romford. Our selection ran well over four bends last week in the heats and looks a lively runner tonight from what looks an ideal draw. The key to victory will be the break and run into the first corner, lead round and Ned should be good enough to take this race.
PGT FREE FRIDAY SELECTION – NEWLAWN NED – T6 – 9.06 Romford
At 9.56 look out for Swift Glow on Romford debut from T6. The Kevin Hutton trained Towcester raider has been running very well at Henlow recently and looks an interesting runner tonight from a plot draw. If Swift Glow traps out in best fashion and handles Romford it could be all over bar the shouting down the back straight. Swabys Millward (T4) has been keeping good company of late and looks the main danger, with a ping break the early paced middle seed will go close.
Over at Sunderland look out for Ginas Lad (T1) in the four bend open race at 8.10 over the standard trip of 450 metres. The former Mark Wallis trained runner now based with Jimmy Fenwick looks well drawn to lead round and once on the bunny he should prove too good for his rivals. Loganator (T4) caught the eye over course and distance last week and looks the main danger, look out for market support for this runner.
Saturday – Crayford and Newcastle live on Racing Post Greyhound Tv
On Saturday evening the RPGTV camera’s move onto Crayford and Newcastle for competitive graded and open race action. Join the panel on Sky channel 468 from 7.15pm for all the latest greyhound racing news, betting previews and market mover information.
One that could be worth noting in the market on Saturday is Greenlane Julie who runs from T6 in the Crayford bookmakers maiden stakes race at 8.34 over the six bend 540 metre trip. The August 14 youngster impressed in S3 and S2 graded company recently when making all on both occasions, tonight now stepped up to open class action for the first time Julie will need to bring her trapping boots but if she leads round she could prove hard to peg back. Keep an eye on Betfair and Bet365 for prices on Saturday morning, both offer best odds guaranteed on all the Racing Post Greyhound Tv action.
Sunday – Henlow live on Racing Post Greyhound Tv
On Sunday evening the RPGTV racing week concludes with a decent mixed card from Henlow, all the racing will be live on Sky channel 468 from 6.15pm and via online bookmaker streams when you place a bet on the race.
At 9.00 look out for Coolavanny Slip who runs from T6 in the 550 metre open race from Henlow. The July 13 daughter of Droopys Scolari caught the eye in defeat last time out over course and distance and looked a surefire future winner over this trip. On Sunday evening if Coolavanny Slip can trap out level and hit the back straight in a challenging position she could prove hard to beat as she stays this trip strong. Roxholme El Dip rates as the main danger from T2, the Frank Gray trained Wimbledon raider showed pace over six bends at Romford recently and should come on for that run.
