Greyhound Racing Preview – 4th, 5th & 6th March
Racing Post Greyhound Tv returns to our screens this evening and what a cracker we have in prospect. The Golden Sprint heats from Romford take centre stage, while up at Sunderland we have competitive graded racing to try and work out. The bookmakers have priced up the action so let’s crack on and find the winners!
The PGT free Friday selection for this weekend is Droopys Story who lines up T5 in the 8.18 at the London road venue Romford. The Paul Young trained son of Central City is blessed with blistering early pace and he looks well drawn tonight to get on the bunny and claim a spot in the next round of the competition. The key to victory will be the break, Express Master (T3) will be heading for the rails at trap rise, that could hamper those drawn in traps 1 and 2, if there is trouble inside that should allow Droopys Story to lead round and make all.
PGT FREE FRIDAY SELECTION – DROOPYS STORY – T5 – 8.18 Romford
A little later on look out for Evanta Fantasy (T3) in the sixth heat of the Golden Sprint at 9.06. The Mark Wallis trained Towcester raider is a course and distance specialist and she will take the world of beating if she traps in best fashion tonight from her middle draw. Vanayamzaman (T5) could be the danger as the wide runner can show decent early pace in his races. Don’t rule out Pass To Go from T6, the Sittingbourne raider has been running very well recently and has a chance if there’s trouble inside.
Over at Sunderland one that catches the eye is Stallone Brax (T3) in the A1 graded race over the standard four bend trip of 450 metres at 8.58. The Yvonne Bell trained runner has recently returned to the track following a layoff and should be approaching peak fitness now, on the bunny he will take all the beating.
Saturday – Crayford and Newcastle live on Racing Post Greyhound Tv
On Saturday evening the RPGTV camera’s moving onto Crayford and Newcastle for yet more competitive action. The feature race is the Crayford bookmakers hurdle open at 8.34 over the four bend 380 metre trip. Reculver Ozzie who runs from T2 is a decent sort over this course and distance and the early paced railer is one to note in the market. Look out for prices from Betfair and Bet365 on Saturday afternoon.
Sunday – Henlow live on Racing Post Greyhound Tv
As ever the racing week finishes at Henlow with a decent but very competitive all open race card to try and work out. The action gets underway at 6.30pm with the final live race at 9.15pm. The feature races are the Bunny Bookmaker Gold Cup trial stakes races over the 550 metre trip at Henlow.
One that appeals at this early stage is Skyline Sully who lines up from T3 in the 9.00 Gold Cup trial stakes race. Sully has been showing decent early pace over the standard four bend trip of late and is an interesting runner now stepped back up in trip. The key to the race will be the break and run into the first corner, with a short run to the bend Sully can’t afford to miss the break.
The final race on the card at 9.15 looks at the mercy of course and distance specialist Savana Jack who runs from T2. Jack has won his last two in impressive fashion and he looks well drawn to make that three from three in recent weeks. Market Heights (T5) could be the one to chase Jack home and he could be one to include in forecast bets. Don’t rule out Rhincrew Sid from T6, the solo wide seeded greyhound in the race has a chance if they bunch up on the inside around the first bend.
