Romford and Sunderland are live tonight on Sky channel 212, the show gets underway at 7.15pm – join the RPGTV panel for all the latest news, previews, and market movers for tonight’s action.
Hope you were all on board last week as the PGT free Friday selection bolted up and rewarded those that took all the early prices, can we follow up this week and make it three winning Friday selections on the trot?
This week’s PGT Friday tip is Trionas Trust who runs from T2 in the Romford Friday Night 500 Maiden Final at 9.24 over the standard four bend trip of 400 meters at the London Road venue. The Jim Reynolds trained runner was a very impressive winner over course and distance last week and the son of Droopys Scolari looks ideally drawn tonight to follow up that success. The key to the race will be the break and run into the first corner, it’s imperative that our selection holds Millwards Steve (T5) into the first bend, do that and it’s race on.
PGT Free Friday Selection – TRIONAS TRUST – T2 – 9.24 Romford
Moving on to Saturday evening where all eyes will be on Wimbledon as the William Hill owned venue stages the St Leger quarter finals plus the start of the RFS Puppy Derby heats. All the action will be on RPGTV, the show starts a little earlier than normal at 6.15 with the first live race at 6.28.
One that appeals at this stage and is worth noting in the market is Ballymac Ramsey who runs from T1 in the 8.58 at Wimbledon. The Barry Draper trained Sheffield raider caught the eye back on the 13th October when the youngster stayed on well after finding early trouble over the 500 meter trip at his home track of Sheffield. Ramsey has trialed well over the 480 meter trip at Wimbledon and he will be a lively runner on Saturday evening with a level break, as ever the price offered by the bookmakers will determine whether Ramsey is worth supporting on the night. Designer Cee who runs from T5 in the same race looks a very promising pup, the Sittingbourne based youngster made a huge impression in front of the Sky camera’s recently and he could be the one to challenge Ramsey off the final bend on Saturday night.
Sunday – Henlow live on Racing Post Greyhound TV
On Sunday evening the RPGTV camera’s will be at Henlow for a decent all open race card, the show starts at 6.15pm with the first live race at 6.30pm.
The feature races are the Henlow Maiden Gold Cup heats over the 550 meter trip, the first heats at 7.30 can go to the well drawn Moanteen Merlin who runs from T6. The solo wide seed recently made it through to the Kent Derby Final where he ran with credit before been knocked over at the fourth bend. Merlin looks very well drawn here and with Towbee (T4) likely to head for the rails at trap rise this race could get very messy at the first corner and our selection could be in the right position to take advantage and kick for home off the second bend.
A little later on look out for Westmead Rena from T1 in the Henlow Midi open race at 9.00. The daughter of Westmead Hawk looks very well drawn on the rails here and if she breaks in best fashion and holds her pitch into the first corner she will take the world of beating.
