Greyhound Racing Preview 29th, 30th & 31st July
Racing Post Greyhound Tv returns to our screens this evening with a decent all open race card from Romford plus a tricky all mixed card from Sunderland, catch all the action live on Sky channel 468 from 7.15pm.
The PGT free Friday selection this week is Sparta Marvel who runs from T5 in the 10.26 open race from Romford over the six bend 575 metre trip. The Maxine Locke trained son of Crash bolted up over course and distance back on the 26th February when he recorded a 13.89 sectional and 35.90 clock, since that run Sparta Marvel has been running over four bends and keeping very good company. Tonight on a return to six bends he’s one to watch in the market, any significant support should be duly noted.
PGT FREE FRIDAY SELECTION – SPARTA MARVEL – T5 – 10.26 Romford
A little earlier on one to look out for is Sign Emily who lines up from T5 in the bitches open race at 8.34 from Romford over the four bend 400 metre trip. The Central Park raider impressed last time out when she pinged the lids and recorded a 3.74 sectional and 24.11 clock, a repeat of that run would see her go very close tonight. The key to the race will be the break, she should get plenty of room into the first corner with Droopys Masza (T4) moving for the rails so she has a cracking chance to lead round, on the bunny Sign Emily will take all the beating.
Over at Sunderland one that appeals is Calzaghe George (T1) in the William Hill standard open race at 9.32 over the four bend 450 metre trip. George looks ideally drawn on the rails and with a level break the classy Ted Soppitt trained runner will take all the beating. Look out for prices from race sponsors William Hill as they offer best odds guaranteed on all the Racing Post Greyhound Tv action.
Saturday – Newcastle and Crayford live on Racing Post Greyhound TV
On Saturday evening the RPGTV camera’s move on to Crayford and Newcastle for competitive graded action, catch the action live on Sky channel 468 from 7.15pm and via bookmaker streams when you place a bet on the racing.
One that looks well drawn and is worth noting in the market on Saturday evening is Time To Think who lines up from T1 in the S1 graded race at 10.26 for trainer Katie O’Flaherty. The April 12 daughter of Head Bound bolted up in S2 grade last time out and has a huge chance on Saturday if she traps out in similar fashion. The key to victory will be the holding the rails into the first corner, do that and it’s race on down the back straight for this strong staying sort.
Sunday – Henlow live on Racing Post Greyhound TV
On Sunday evening the racing week concludes with action from Henlow live on Frontrunner Tv Sky channel 468 from 6.15pm. Join the RPGTV panel for all the latest greyhound racing news, betting previews and market mover information.
One that appeals at this early stage and is worth noting in the market is Savana Turbo (T1) in the maiden open race at 9.00 over the 550 metre trip. Ideally drawn as the solo railer in the race Turbo has a huge chance with a level break, he can’t afford a missed break in a competitive field but if he leads round he could prove hard to peg back.
Another that could go well on Sunday is Swift Glow who runs from T6 in the 9.15 open race from Henlow. Swift Glow impressed over course and distance last week when the lightly raced daughter of Paradise Madison showed excellent middle gears to lead off the third bend and pull clear of the chasing pack, she took to Henlow very well and could be one to watch over this trip in the coming weeks.
