Hello and welcome to the latest PGT weekend preview, this weekend we have action from Romford, Sunderland, Crayford, Newcastle and Henlow all live on Racing Post Greyhound Tv. To catch all the action simply tune into Sky channel 468 from 7.15pm tonight and Saturday and 6.15pm on Sunday, you can also view the races via streams on the online bookmaker websites when you place a bet on the event.
The week’s PGT free Friday selection is Fahrenheit Katie who lines up from T1 in the six bend stayers race at 8.34 from Romford. Katie looks ideally drawn on the rails and in a race lacking genuine early pace there’s a chance she could lead round, with stamina not an issue she would prove very hard to beat on the bunny. The key to the race will be holding the rails into the first corner, hit the second bend in the lead and Katie can take this race.
PGT FREE FRIDAY SELECTION – FAHRENHEIT KATIE – T1 – 8.34 Romford
A little later on look out for Droopys Cairns (T6) in the 10.11 open race from Romford over the standard four bend trip of 400 metres. The make up of this race should suit Droopys Cairns as the solo wide seed, if he traps in best fashion it could be all over bar the shouting down the back straight. Loggies Rocky will be looking for the rails from T4 and that could hamper those drawn on the inside and hand the advantage to our selection out wide.
Over at Sunderland keep an eye on Eden Rex who runs from T1 in the A1 graded race at 10.35 over the standard four bend trip of 450 metres. The June 12 son of Kinloch Brae stays this trip well and looks well drawn to turn in a handy pitch, if he’s within striking distance at the third bend he can take this race late on. Savana Isla (T5) has been running well since moving up from Henlow and rates as the danger.
Saturday – Crayford & Newcastle live on Racing Post Greyhound TV
On Saturday evening the RPGTV camera’s move onto Crayford and Newcastle for competitive graded action. One that appeals and is worth noting in the market is Mallogs Lee who runs from T6 in the E3 graded race at 8.50 over the eight bend trip of 714 metres at Crayford. The wide seed is lightly raced at this trip and open to plenty of improvement, with a ping break he could make them all go on Saturday night. Keep an eye on Bet365 and Betfair for prices on Saturday afternoon, both bookmakers offer best odds guaranteed on all the Racing Post Greyhound Tv action.
Sunday – Henlow live on Racing Post Greyhound TV
As ever the racing week concludes on Sunday evening with racing live from Henlow. Join the RPGTV panel on Sky channel 468 from 6.15pm for all the latest greyhound racing news, betting previews and market mover information.
One that could be worth noting in the market is Savana Turbo (T1) in the 550 metre maiden open race at 8.46. The July 14 son of Mall Brandy won well over the standard trip recently and looks one to follow over the intermediate trip of 550 metres at Henlow. The key to victory for ‘Turbo’ backers will be the break and run into the first corner, with a short run to the bend getting on the bunny will be vital for backers, lead round and ‘Turbo’ should take this race.
