Greyhound Racing Preview – BAGS Track Championship
Published on 23/12/15
What an afternoon of racing we have in prospect with the 2015 BAGS track championship taking centre stage from 2pm, all the action is live on Sky Sports. The bookmakers have priced up all the races and there is outright betting available on which track will lift the trophy and claim the honour of 2015 BAGS track champions – good luck to all the tracks involved.
2014 winners Peterborough have failed to make it into this years final but with Romford, Belle Vue, Towcester, Monmore, Newcastle and Hall Green all represented it should be a cracker.
Below we have previewed some of the races that are live this afternoon, and we highlight the PGT bet of the day.
2.08 Perry Barr – BAGS Track Championship Final Youngsters, Bramble Robson (T4) went well in a trial over course and distance and the Newcastle raider will be hard to beating if he manages to get on the bunny, the key to the race will be clearing Drooyps Ambition (T3) into the first corner. Bert The Flirt looks well drawn in T1 and the Monmore based runner could be a spot of value against the favourite and could attract support at 6/1 with Betfair.
2.27 Perry Barr – BAGS Track Championship Standard, this race is all about the break, Flemish Idea will be diving for the rails from T3 and that could mean trouble for those drawn on the inside, the two that interest me are Castell Henry from T4 and Paradise Cuba in T6, whichever greyhounds breaks best will be the one to beat.
2.47 Perry Barr – BAGS Track Championship Final Standard Bitches, yet another races that will hinge on the break and run into the first corner, Some Women (T1) and Ballymac Shirley (T2) look the standout pair and whichever manages to lead round should take this race. Don’t rule out Tyrur Linda from T4, the Belle Vue raider has been keeping very good company of late and would be a huge runner with a smash break, good luck to those that got the 8/1 about Linda with Betfair last night.
4.08 Perry Barr, BAGS Track Championship Final Sprint, draws win races and Bramble Bruno (T6) has a cracker to work from in the 4.08. The Newcastle raider went well in a trial over course and distance last week and repeat of that run should be good enough to take this race, the key to victory will be clearing Millstreettrixie (T5) into the first corner, do that and Bruno should take this race and claim maximum points for Newcastle.
5.07 Perry Barr, BAGS Track Championship Final Stayers B, the bet of the day for me is Reel Style who runs from T2 in the stayers race at 5.07. The Kevin Hutton trained railer will need to bring his trapping boots to clear Underground Mags (T1) into the first corner but if he manages to clear that rival he should kick clear off the second bend then its catch me if you can!
PGT bet of the day – 5.07 Perry Barr – REEL STYLE – T2
