It’s now four on the trot for the PGT weekend blog, hope you were all on Droopys Nissan last Friday at the early price of 4/1. The Frank Gray trained son of Yeah Man pinged out and recorded a flying 3.70 sectional and 23.78 clock at an S.P of 2/1, yet another winner for the free Friday tip.
Tonight we go with Blastoff Bonnie who runs from T5 in the maiden marathon from Romford at 9.40 over the eight bend 750 metre trip to make it five on the trot. On eight bend debut Bonnie looks well drawn to lead round and once on the bunny the Mark Wallis trained Towcester raider will prove hard to peg back. The key to the race will be the break and run into the first corner, lead round and it’s race on.
PGT FREE FRIDAY SELECTION – BLASTOFF BONNIE – T5 – 9.40 Romford
A little later on look out for Rio San Marino who lines up from T2 in the 10.26 open race from Romford over the six bend 575 metre trip. The Derek Rioden trained Henlow raider is a class act over course and distance and looks well drawn tonight to lead round and make all. Look out for prices from Bet365 and Betfair on this race later this afternoon, both offer best odds guaranteed on all the Racing Post Greyhound Tv action.
The final race on the Romford card at 10.40 is a very interesting marathon. Office Hazard (T2) won well over course and distance last week and has claims. Gleneagle Tina (T4) won over the six bend trip last Friday and has previously won over eight bends so stamina will not be an issue. Dashing Star (T5) and Droopys Heidi (T6) are both capable sorts and have chances in what looks a very open race.
Over at Sunderland keep an eye on Nonos Girl (T3) in the A2 graded race at 9.48 over the standard four bend trip of 450 metres. The July 13 daughter of Farloe Hurricane is blessed with blistering early pace and if she puts that to good use and leads round tonight she can make all and land this race for her connections.
Saturday – Crayford and Newcastle live on Racing Post Greyhound TV
On Saturday evening the Racing Post Greyhound Tv camera’s move onto Crayford and Newcastle for competitive graded racing. Catch all the action live on Frontunner Tv Sky channel 468 from 7.15pm.
One that appeals at this early stage is Sister Gabriella who runs from T2 in the E2 graded race at 9.24 over the eight bend 714 metre trip. Our selection stays this trip very well and with doubts about plenty in this field she could be the one to take advantage late on and claim this race.
Sunday – Henlow live on Racnig Post Greyhound TV
On Sunday evening Henlow takes centre stage live on RPGTV, join the panel from 6.15pm for all the latest greyhound racing news, betting previews and non runner information.
One to keep an eye on is Blackrose Paul who runs from T4 in the 8.46 open race over the 550 metre trip. The early paced middle seed bolted up on his last run over course and distance and followed that up with an impressive win in A2 grade over the standard trip at Henlow. On Sunday night if Paul is value price he could be worth supporting in the market. As ever look out for prices from Betfair and Bet365 on Sunday lunchtime.
