Greyhound Racing Preview – 15th, 16th & 17th April
Published on 15/04/16
All eyes will be on Romford tonight as the London road venue stages a decent all open race card, all the racing will be live on Sky channel 468 from 7.15pm. Sunderland will be the supporting card with twelve graded races for punters to try and work out.
The PGT free Friday selection this week is Barricane Tiger who runs from T4 in the Romford maiden stayers final over the six bend trip of 575 meters at 9.06. The Pat Janssens trained son of Razldazl Jayfkay impressed in the heats last week and a repeat of that run would make him hard to beat here. Our selection is drawn a little wider than normal out in trap four but with a decent break he should be able to clear the pace inside and grab the rails around the first couple of bends, lead round and its race on down the back straight. Droopys Scion from T5 looks the obvious danger, it’s imperative that we lead that rival early on.
PGT Free Friday Selection – BARRICANE TIGER – T4 – 9.06 Romford
A little later on look out for Swabys Millward (T3) in the 10.26 open race from Romford. Our selection has kept very good company of late and is sure to appreciate this slight drop in class tonight. If Swabys Millward breaks in best fashion he should lead round and once on the bunny it will be all over bar the shouting. Immiconn (T2) stays on well over this trip and could be the one to chase home our selection.
Over at Sunderland, one to note in the market is Cosa Nostre (T6) in the A1 graded race at 10.18 over the standard four bend trip of 450 meters. The early paced wide seed won well last time out and with a similar break he can follow up that success and make it two on the trot.
Saturday – Crayford and Newcastle Live on Racing Post Greyhound TV
On Saturday evening, the Ladbrokes dual distance trophy heats take centre stage live on RPGTV, join the panel on Sky channel 468 from 7.15pm for all the latest news, market movers and non-runner information.
The first dual distance heat at 8.18 can go to local runner Glenbowen Charm who lines up from T1. The January 14 daughter of Oaks Road bolted up over course and distance last time out recorded a 12.93 sectional and 34.00 clock, a repeat of that should be good enough to take this race.
The second heat at 9.24 looks wide open, Mick The Bomb (T2) is an interesting runner from the O’Sullivan kennel and is worth noting in the market, any support should be noted. Diesel Flo (T1) is a class act and the railer could be the one to beat with a level break.
Sunday – Henlow Live on Racing Post Greyhound TV
As ever the RPGTV concludes on Sunday evening with competitive racing from Henlow, all the action will be live on RPGTV Sky channel 468 from 6.15pm.
One that appeals at this early stage is Tyrur Serena (T4) in the Henlow masters semi-final at 8.30 over the standard four bend trip of 460 meters. The Yarmouth raider caught the eye last time out after finding early trouble, with a better break on Sunday she should go close.
