The PGT free Friday selection for this week is BE WITCH who runs from T2 in the eight bend marathon race at 10.40 from the London road venue Romford. The Dave Mullins trained daughter of Droopys Woods has been showing decent all round pace over six bends recently and has staying on well to the pick up, now stepped back up to eight bends she looks a huge runner tonight. The key to victory will be the break and run into the first corner, lead round or turn within striking distance and Be Witch will prove hard to beat. High Living (T5) won well over course and distance last week and the Yarmouth raider could be the main danger. Don’t rule out solo wide seed Oneco Sky from T6, with a ping break he would be a danger to all.

PGT FREE FRIDAY SELECTION – BE WITCH – T2 – 10.40 Romford

A little earlier on the Coral Golden Sprint semi finals (8.50, 9.06 & 9.24) look ultra competitive. The first semi final at 8.50 is a cracker, and with plenty looking for the early lead the break will be vital. You Never Listen (T3) and Laughing Gravy (T6) looks the main players and if could be a leader wins type of race.

The second semi final at 9.06 looks wide open and this race could hinge on what Express Master (T3) does as the boxes, the Monmore raider will be heading for the rails at trap rise, if he grabs the rails he will be hard to beat, but if he hampers those inside it could open up the race for Ballinclare Solo (T4) or youngster Makeit Bigtime from T6.
The third and final semi final at 9.24 looks at the mercy of crack sprinter Scolari Sound who runs from T1 for Peterborough trainer David Pruhs. Scolari Sound bolted up over course and distance last Friday and a repeat of that flying 3.62 sectional would be good enough to lead round and take this race to book a place in next weeks Golden Sprint final.

Saturday – Crayford and Newcastle live on Racing Post Greyhound TV

On Saturday evening the Ladbrokes Guys and Dolls 540 trophy heats are the feature races live on Racing Post Greyhound Tv. The ‘Dolls’ heat at 8.34 can go to Henlow raider Pretty Lane who runs from T3. The February 14 daughter of Shaneboy Lee has been keeping good company of late and should appreciate this slight drop in class, on the bunny she will be the one to beat.

The ‘Guys’ heat at 9.24 can go to classy El Pedro who returns to the flat after a recent stint over hurdles at Wimbledon during the Springbok competition. El Pedro looks well drawn on the rail and with a level break he should hold that pitch into the first corner and hit the front down the back straight. Kentish Man rates as the danger from T2.

Sunday – Henlow live on Racing Post Greyhound TV

As ever the RPGTV week concludes on Sunday evening with racing from Henlow. The Bunny Bookmakers Gold Cup heats take centre stage on Sunday with six heats in total. Join the RPGTV panel on Sky channel 212 and Freesat 401 from 6.15pm for all the latest news, race previews and market mover information.

One that appeals at this early stage is Jet Stream Style who lines up from T2 in the third heat of the Bunny Bookmakers Gold Cup at 7.15pm over the 550 metre trip. The Kevin Hutton trained Towcester raider looks well drawn in T2 and with a ping break he should clear Unlikely Buddy (T1) into the first corner and lead round, once on the bunny Jet Stream Style will prove very hard to beat as he stays this trip and further as he showed when winning over 642 metres at Sittingbourne in February.

A little later on Turbo Daniel is worth noting in the market when the Perry Barr raider lines up from T1 in the sixth and final Gold Cup heat at 8.00 from Henlow. The early paced railer has been running well at his home track recently and is an interesting runner here on his return to Henlow where he has plenty of course and distance form. Look out for prices from Bet365 and Betfair on Sunday afternoon – both offer best odds guaranteed on all the Racing Post Greyhound Tv action so it really does pay to take the early prices.
