Racing Post Greyhound TV returns to our screens this evening with cracking action on show from both Sunderland and Romford, join the RPGTV panel on Sky channel 212 and Freesat 401 from 7.15pm for all the latest betting news, market movers and non-runner information.
The PGT free Friday selection for this week is Uncle Paul who runs from T4 in the maiden marathon at 8.34 over the eight bend trip of 750 meters at Romford. Our selection found early trouble on eight bend debut last time out and found it hard to get competitive after that, tonight he looks well drawn to turn handy and with a clear run he should go close. Jaytee Dave (T3) will be moving towards the rails at trap rise and that could hamper our main rival Midway Jack who lines up from T2, if those to do bump early on Uncle Paul should be in the perfect position to take advantage and kick on down the back straight.
PGT FREE FRIDAY SELECTION – UNCLE PAUL – 8.34 Romford
A little later on Johns Present is worth a second look in the 9.56 open race over the six bend trip of 575 meters. The Paul Young trained railer looks well drawn and with a level break he will take the beating on six bend debut.
Over at Sunderland look out for the classy sprinter Daytime Flyer who lines up from T6 in the William Hill sponsored race at 8.58. The middle seed is drawn a little wider than normal here but in a race with five railers Daytime Flyer could be in the perfect pitch to ping out and lead round, on the bunny he will not be for catching. As ever the price offered by the bookmakers later this afternoon will determine whether he is worth supporting in the market.
Saturday – Crayford and Newcastle live on Racing Post Greyhound TV
The RPGTV cameras move onto Crayford and Newcaslte on Saturday evening for competitive graded action, finding winners will be tricky, but one that appeals at this early stage is Droopys Ontario who is due to line up from T2 in the S1 six bend race at 9.56 from Crayford. Ontario has been keeping very good company of late including finishing a respectable fourth in the Golden Collar final over course and distance behind Corrin Bob, Ontario is sure to appreciate this drop in class and should go very close with a clear run.
Sunday – Henlow and Harlow live on Racing Post Greyhound TV
On Sunday evening we have a change to the normal viewing, Harlow joins Henlow on RPGTV for a one off special, with plenty of open racing and a variety of distances on show it should be a cracker.
The 2015 Tv Trophy runner-up Bubbly Time (T1) runs in the 8.29 from Harlow and if the daughter of Hondo Black takes to the track she will be very hard to beat of a stamina zapping trip of 769 meters. Droopys Bump (T5) has always looked the type to do well once put over eight bends and the Henlow raider is worth a second look in the market on Sunday night.
Over at Henlow we the Xmas Cracker and Xmas Cesarewitch heats to try and work out, with greyhounds like Blonde Razor, Urban Road and Corrin Bob due to line up it promises to be a decent punting card. Look out for all the price on Sunday afternoon, Bet365 and Betfair normally price up the action around 1pm.
