Greyhound Racing Preview 10th, 11th & 12th June

June 10, 2016

All eyes will be on Romford this evening as the London road venue stages thirteen competitive opens including two finals, one over the four bend trip and the other over the six bend 575 metre distance. Catch all the action live on Sky channel 468 from 7.15pm tonight.

Greyhound racing preview

The PGT free Friday selection for this week is AFFANE PALE who runs from T3 in the 9.56 open race from Romford over the 575 metre trip. The Belle Vue raider is two from three over course and distance and looks well drawn tonight to win again. The key to victory will be the break and run into the first corner, it’s imperative that Affane Pale gets on the bunny, lead round and it’s race on. Be Witch from T2 looks the main danger, the Dave Mullins trained runner is strong over this trip and would be a danger if within striking distance late on.

PGT FREE FRIDAY SELECTION – AFFANE PALE – T3 – 9.56 Romford

A little earlier on look out for Rio Rialto (T3) in the Friday night final at 9.06 over the four bend trip of 400 metres. The July 14 son of Droopys Jet impressed last week when he recorded a 3.77 sectional and 24.26 clock, a repeat of that flying run would make him hard to beat tonight. It is however a tricky race, with pace inside Rio Rialto can not afford a tardy start.

Over at Sunderland look out for Tom Tom Charlie (T6) in the four bend handicap at 10.03 over the standard four bend trip of 450 metres. Tom is a handicap specialist at Sunderland, he is often seen cutting through the pack at the third and fourth bends displaying clever track craft before he launches a late challenge, hdoesn’tnt win by far and is often in a close photo but with a record of 23 wins from 48 races at Sunderland he’s one to consider if you are having a bet on the race.

Saturday – Crayford and Newcastle live on Racing Post Greyhound Tv

On Saturday evening the RPGTV camera’s move onto Crayford and Newcastle for competitive graded racing. Join the panel on Sky channel 468 from 7.15pm for all the latest news, market movers and non runner information.

One to keep an eye in the market is Glenbowen Charm who runs from T4 in the Crayford bookmakers stayers open race at 8.34 over the marathon trip of 714 meters. The January 14 daughter of Oaks Road has won her last two over course and distance and looks a lively runner on Saturday evening, look out for prices from Bet365 and Betfair on Saturday morning, both offer best odds guaranteed on all the Racing Post Greyhound Tv action so it really does pay to take the early prices.

Another that could go well is Mystical Billy (T5) in the S1 graded race at 8.50 over the six bend 540 metre trip. Billy is blessed with blistering early pace, if he puts that to good use here and leads round it’s catch me if you can. Droopys Roller from T1 looks the main danger, if that rival was to hold the rails and turn handy she would be a huge runner.

Sunday – Henlow live on Racing Post Greyhound Tv

As ever the RPGTV racing with concludes on Sunday evening with racing from Henlow, all the action will be live on Sky channel 468 from 6.15pm.

The Henlow mini derby heats take centre stage on Sunday evening with six heats in total. They get underway at 7.30 and run through to 8.45. One that could be worth a second look in the market is Pennys Rock who runs from T1 in the second heat at 7.45 for trainer Charlie Lister. Pennys Rock looks well drawn on the rails and with a level break he could hold the rails and lead off the second bend, stamina has to be take on trust as most of his recent races have been over the 305 meter trip at Nottingham but on the bunny he should go close.

Romford specialist Evanta Fantasy is another that could go well in the Henlow mini derby heats when she runs from T3 in the fourth heat at 8.15 for trainer Mark Wallis. Evanta Fantasy lacks a recent look round Henlow but if she breaks in best fashion she can hit the front early on and kick clear of the chasing pack to book her place in the next round of the competition.
