Racing Post Greyhound TV returns to our screens this evening with a decent mixed card from Sunderland plus a very competitive open race card from the Coral owned London road circuit Romford.
Oneco Maverick who runs from T1 in the 8.02 open race at Romford is this weeks free PGT selection. The Kevin Boon trained son of Shaneboy Lee caught the eye on Saturday night when staying on well to the pick up over the four bend 480 meter trip at Newcastle and the former Irish open race performer is likely to appreciate this step up to an intermediate six bend trip this evening. The key to the race will be the break and run into the first corner, on Romford début Oneco Maverick can not afford a missed break but if he manages to break level he could be hard to beat over a trip that should suit. What A Laugh (T5) looks the likely early leader but the David Pruhs Peterborough raider might struggle to last home over the 575 meter trip.
PGT FREE FRIDAY SELECTION – ONECO MAVERICK – T1 – 8.02 Romford
A little later on look out for Eighteen Moloney who runs from T5 in the 8.42 handicap over the standard four bend trip of 450 meters at Sunderland. The Yvonne Bell trained youngster has been very well supported on her last two runs but was beaten on both occasions, now running off the scratch position he is likely to avoid an early bump and will be making up ground down the back straight and looking to challenge off the final bend, if Eighteen Moloney is within striking distance at the third bend he will be very hard to beat.
