Friday – Romford and Sunderland live on Racing Post Greyhound TV

What a cracking night of greyhound racing we have in prospect from Romford this evening with the Puppy Cup semi finals live on RPGTV plus ten supporting open races, while over at Sunderland we have an all graded card to try and work out.
This weeks free PGT tip is TEEJAYSPOWERHAWK who runs from T1 in the Romford Friday Night 500 Stayers open race at 8.18 over the six bend trip of 575 meters. The Paul Young trained son of Westmead Hawk looks ideally drawn on the rails and with one of his better breaks he will be very hard to beat. Our selection stays this trip very well, lead round or turn handy and it’s race on. Pharisee Flyer (T3), Fivestar Legacy (T4), and Jimmy Nailed On (T5) are all capable sorts over this course and distance but if Teejayspowerhawk beats them to the first bend he should win this race.

Greyhound Betting Tips

The feature races on the Romford card are the Puppy Cup semi finals that take place at 8.50, 9.06 and 9.24. The first heat at 8.50 looks at the mercy of Roxholme Scolari from T2, the son of Droopys Scolari recorded a flying 23.95 on Monday evening over course and distance and a repeat of that should be good enough to take the race. The second semi final at 9.06 looks like a race to the corner with Galtee Harvey (T3) and Aero Liberty (T6) the main players, as ever over the 400 meter trip at Romford the break and run to the first corner will be vital. The final semi final at 9.24 can go to the classy Roxholme Barkley who runs from T2, the early paced youngster dipped under 24 second on his first attempt over course and distance and with further improvement likely he looks a main player in this years competition.

Saturday – Newcastle and Crayford live on Racing Post Greyhound TV

The feature RPGTV race on Saturday evening is the 540 Maiden Trophy Final from Crayford at 8.50 over the six bend 540 meter trip. Lets Go Jeronimo (T6) won well last week and the Katie O’Flaherty trained runner looks ideally drawn on Saturday evening to turn handy and kick for home down the back straight, the former Romford runner looks suited to Crayford and looks a leading contender to land the £1000 prize money.

The 2015 Irish Greyhound Derby is also taking place on Saturday evening and Farloe Blitz looks a strong favourite based on his runs in this years competition, Ballymac Matt looks the main rival to Blitz, it’s all about the break and run into the first corner – the leader will be the one to beat.

Sunday – Henlow live on Racing Post Greyhound TV

The final RPGTV show of the week is from Henlow on Sunday evening, the show gets underway at 6.15pm on Sky channel 212.

The feature on Sunday is the KAB Maiden Derby Final at 8.45 over the standard four bend trip of 460 meters. The Perry Barr raider Charity Buster impressed in the semi finals last week and if the son of Godsend breaks in best fashion from T5 he will take all the beating. It is however a very competitve race with the likes of Blackrose Tiny (T1), Nice Chance (T2), and Steeple Rd Vic (T6) all more than capable of taking this race on a going day. Skybet and Paddy Power have both priced up the KAB Maiden Derby final, our selection Charity Buster is currently 13/8 with Skybet.
