Friday – Romford and Sunderland live on Racing Post Greyhound TV
RPGTV returns to our screens this evening with a decent mixed card from the London Road circuit Romford plus competitive graded action at Sunderland, the show is live on Sky channel 212 and Freesat 401 from 7.15pm.
This weeks free PGT tips is Jaytee Paris from T6 in the Follow @Coral On Twitter Maiden Stayers race at 9.40 over the 575 meter trip. The solo wide seed has previously gone well over course and distance and should appreciate this drop in class, in recent races our selection has been in against the likes of Jet Stream Sound and Fivestar Legacy, with nothing of that calibre in this race it looks like a perfect opportunity for the Paul Young trained bitch to win over six bends for the first time. Borna Dinger (T4) showed decent early pace last time out and rates as the danger to our selection.
A little later on Laughing Gravy is worth noting in the market when he runs from T6 in the 10.26 open over the standard four bend trip at Romford of 400 meters. The early paced wide seed has been off the track of late but if he returns to near his best form he would be more than capable of making all here. It is however a very competitive race with the likes of Dailis Picture (T3), Never Cry Wolf (T4) and Bubbly Bonus (T5) all more than capable of taking this race on a going day, as ever the break and run into the first bend will be vital at Romford, whichever greyhound manages to lead round will take all the beating.
PGT FREE FRIDAY TIP – JAYTEE PARIS – T6 – 9.40 Romford
Saturday – Crayford and Newcastle live on Racing Post Greyhound TV
Moving onto Saturday and the RPGTV camera’s will be at Crayford and Newcastle. The feature races on Saturday come from Crayford with the Ladbrokes.com Maiden Trophy Heats over the six bend trip of 540 meters, three heats in total will take place at 8.02, 8.34 and 9.06. A very interesting runner in the final heat at 9.06 is Claires Jayfkay from T1, the Barry O’Sullivan trained daughter of Razldazl Jayfkay was ultra impressive over course and distance last week when recording a flying 34.16 clock and beating her opposition by over 14 lengths, if the strong staying railer manages to turn handy again on Saturday she will be hard to beat.
Sunday – Henlow live on Racing Post Greyhound TV
The final RPGTV show of the week is from Henlow on Sunday evening, the feature races are the semi finals of the Kab Maiden Derby over the standard four bend trip of 460 meters, the heats took place last Sunday and all the race form and videos can be viewed via the Racing Post greyhound website.
One that appeals at this early stage based on a plot draw is Westmead Julie from T2 in the 7.30 Henlow Maiden open race, the early paced daughter of Coolavanny Bert looks very well drawn in trap two in a race that consists of two railers, three middle seeds and one wide seed, if Julie can clear Missed Moment (T1) at trap rise she should be able to grab the rails and lead round, once on the bunny she will be hard to beat if she repeats or improves apon the recent 27.95 clock that was recorded in a trial over course and distance back on the 22nd August. As ever the price offered by the bookmakers on Sunday afternoon will determine whether Julie is worth a bet on the night.
