Friday – Romford and Sunderland live on Racing Post Greyhound TV

RPGTV returns to our screens this evening and it should be a cracker, over at the London Road circuit Romford we have the heats of the 2015 Coral Champion Stakes to try and work out, the six bend competition over the 575 meter trip looks ultra competitive with the likes of Swift Whirlwind, Domino Storm, Adageo Bob and Blonde Razor entered it looks a quality renewal of the competition.

As ever Sunderland stages a very tricky graded card for punters to try and work out, the feature race on the card is the 8.26 A1 which sees recent open race winner My Queen (T3) up against course and distance specialist Eden Brae (T4), in what looks a race to the corner whichever greyhound manages to lead out of the second bend will take all the beating.

For this week’s free PGT tip we head off to Romford and the fourth Coral Champion Stakes race at 8.18. PHARISEE FLYER has been showing decent pace throughout his races recently and if the wide seed breaks in best fashion here he will take all the beating here. The key to the race will be clearing Soviet Kenny (T5) into the first corner, do that and its race on. In a race lacking any serious early paced types our selection could find himself hitting the front earlier on and stamina will not be an issue as Pharisee Flyer has previously won over the eight bend trip of 750 meters at Romford.

A little later on look out for Janoan (T6) in the 9.56 Pittsburgh Storm Centenary Race over the marathon 750 meter trip, the early paced wide seed has been running well over six bends of late and looks the likely leader this evening, on the bunny she’s a decent sort and she will be the one to beat if she leads round. Pittsburgh Storm (T3) will be running in his 100th race this evening and the son of Ace Hi Rumble has been a credit to his trainer and connections, he still retains plenty of ability and has a chance if turning close to the pace. Gleneagle Tina (T4) is making her eight bend début tonight and could be worth a look in the market.

Saturday – Crayford and Newcastle live on Racing Post Greyhound TV

Moving onto Saturday and greyhound punters have three decent opens at Crayford to try and work out plus a very tricky Newcastle graded card. One of the feature races on the evening is the Summer Sprint Trophy Heat at 8.02 (Crayford), with the likes of Aimnfire (T2) Kokcha Blue (T3) and Headford Joe (T6) in the field the break and run into the first corner will be vital – whichever greyhound manages to lead round will be hard to beat.

The second and final heat at 8.18 looks a little more open and all the runners seem to have a chance in the race, Queen Amber in T3 could be one to note in the market, the Wimbledon based youngster clocked a satisfactory 24.05 time on her first look over course and distance in a trial recently and with further improvement likely she could be a spot of value against the local runners.

The other open on the Crayford card is the Front Runner TV Guys N Dolls Final at 9.06 over the six bend 540 meter trip, Fatty Arbukle (T6) won well in the heats last week and the solo wide seed appears well drawn in the final as the solo wide seed, if the Katie O’Flaherty trained son of Crash breaks in best fashion he will take all the beating. If Ever Banba (T3) chased home Fatty Arbukle in the heats last week and the early paced railer has a chance in the final with a ping break.

Sunday – Henlow live on Racing Post Greyhound TV

On Sunday evening RPGTV moves onto Henlow with the show starting at 6.15pm and the first live race at 6.30pm. As ever we have a tricky mixed card to try and work out with graded and open races, the feature race is the Westmead Hawk Memorial Trophy Final at 8.30, the A1 graded event looks a quality race and it looks a very competitive race with the likes of Wesmead Alexis (T2), Savana Graham (T5) and Blackrose Vic (T6) all more than capable of taking this race on a going day.

Good luck whatever you decide to back this weekend
