AT & T Byron Nelson: Golf Betting Tips For This Week
The par-70 TPC Four Seasons again hosts this week’s AT & T Byron Nelson. Texas born Jordan Spieth, as usual, is favourite – though a top-price of 5/1 is easily passed over.
With a view to finding some big-odds value this week, the form-book threw-up more than a tenuous link between the Northern Trust Open at Riviera and this event – and I’ve four selections ranging from 66/1 – 200/1.
Morgan Hoffmann 0.75 points each-way @ 66/1 (Coral) and 2 points top-10 @ 11/2 (Betfred)
Morgan Hoffmann’s winning turn must surely come very soon as the youngster has all the attributes required to be a multiple winner on the PGA Tour and, after finishing 5th and 16th on his two appearances here on his two visits, this could well be the place at which he makes his breakthrough. He also finished 22nd at this year’s Northern Trust Open, whilst two top-10s in his last 6 tournaments also highlight his ability.
Graham De Laet 0.5 points each-way @ 80/1 (various) and 1.5 points top-10 @ 7/1 (Betfred)
The Canadian’s event form of MC/41/10/7 is certainly trending in a way that suggests he is getting more and more comfortable on the course, and the only reason we’re getting 80/1 this week is because his current form isn’t great. However, he’s made the cut on his last two appearances and is the sort of player to return to form at any moment. 8th at this year’s Northern Trust Open.
Sang Moon Bae 0.5 points each-way @ 125/1 (various) and 1 point top-10 @ 10/1 (BetVictor)
Won this on his event debut but, unsurprisingly, missed the cut last year under the glare of the American media. Already proved he loves the course, and finished 12th and 8th the last two years at the Northern Trust Open.
John Hahn 0.5 points each-way @ 200/1 (Various) and 1 point top-10 @ 18/1 (BetVictor)
This year’s surprise Northern Trust Open winner, though he had finished 29th there the year before, when his best performance that year was 5th in this event. Don’t let current form figures of 30/73/MC put you of as he’d missed three straight cuts before placing here last year.
That’s the Golf tips this week from me, is there anything you fancy?
