Free Tips For The 2019 FA Cup Quarter Finals

Posted March 14, 2019 | By Tim @ Betting Gods

Saturday (March 16) is when the two all Premier League FA Cup Quarter-finals take place. Some teams have been accused of not caring about the competition this season, with the FA Cup often overshadowed by the Champions League and the important financial rewards of staying in the Premier League. However, the smell of Wembley in their nostrils should motivate all the players who are in action this weekend.
Check out our analysis and free tips for Watford vs Crystal Palace and Wolves vs Manchester United.

Watford vs Crystal Palace (Sat 12.15)

Neither Watford or Crystal Palace have won the FA Cup but both teams have been beaten finalists. Watford finished runner-up in 1984 and Crystal Palace finished second in both 1990 and 2016.

Crystal Palace also won 2-1 the last time these two sides met in the FA Cup in 2016, but it’s Watford that have won both Premier League games this season by the same score.

Neither Watford or Crystal Palace are that easy to predict but both teams come into this FA Cup quarter-final in fine form. Watford have won their last two home matches against Leicester and Everton and Crystal Place have won their last two away games Burnley and Leicester.

It looks a tough match to call in the outright market, so it might be worth betting on both teams to score. Both teams found the net in both head-to-heads this season, whilst Watford have only failed to score in one of their last five matches and that was against Liverpool. Even more promising is the fact that Crystal Place have been part of some real goal-fests recently, with both teams scoring in their last four matches.

Wolves vs Manchester United (Sat 7.55)

Wolves haven’t won the FA Cup since 1960 and they now take on a Manchester United side that last won it in 2016 and were beaten finalists last season. However, Wolves can take motivation having left Old Trafford with a point when the two sides met in September.

However, since then, the arrival of Ole Gunner Solskjaer has seen United raise their game in recent weeks. A stunning defeat of PSG in Paris was United’s ninth consecutive away victory and that run only came to an end against Arsenal last weekend. The question is can they get back on track here?

Wolves have lost a few matches they should have won this season but they have generally overperformed against top-six sides. As well as draws against United and Arsenal, they’ve also taken four points off Chelsea, beaten Tottenham at Wembley, and beaten Liverpool in an earlier round of the FA Cup.

However, Wolves don’t have as many weapons as the likes of Arsenal and they may struggle to hurt a United side that will surely to desperate to bag their inspirational new manager a trophy in his first season in charge. Rashford and Lukaku may have had an on off day against Arsenal but, having had many more good days than bad recently, they’re fancied to prove that their defeat to Arsenal was just a blip in the rode and outgun Wolves to book a place in the FA Cup semi-finals.
