[Free Tips For Monday] Naas Horse Racing Tips
Naas Racecourse’s Monday meeting on 23 March officially opens the 2020 Irish Flat Racing Season. It was originally scheduled for the Sunday but has been moved back a day to give punters something to enjoy in a racing schedule hit by Coronavirus.
The highlights on the card include the Group 3 Lodge Park Stud Irish EBF Park Express Stakes, whilst the Listed Devoy Stakes sees last year’s beaten Epsom Derby favourite Sir Dragonet make his seasonal debut.

Sir Dragonet is likely to be all the rage for this Listed Race over 10-furlongs, and it won’t be a great surprise if he hacks up with plenty of the Coolmore Stud’s money on him. But last year’s 3-year-old middle-distance horses didn’t look a great bunch, which means he might be flattered by his rating of 117, especially as he was beaten by lower-rated rivals over this trip on his penultimate start last season. He also must concede weight to all his rivals.
As there are just seven runners, it’s impossible to recommend an each-way play against Sir Dragonet, but Numerian could prove one of his biggest dangers after several excellent runs in handicaps and group races last season.

Dermot Weld has won two of the last six editions of this Group 3 for fillies over a mile but his representative Kiss For A Jewel was mainly seen to better effect over further last season and is more exposed than some of her rivals.
Aidan O’Brien hasn’t won any of the last 10 editions of this race, so it will be interesting to see how Blissful moves in the market. She beat Even So when Ger Lyon’s 3-year-old made her racecourse debut over 7½ furlongs last season but Even So improved to win over a mile next time.
Blissful and Even So look the leading 3-year-olds in the field, but Lemista, Raven’s Cry, and Miss Myers are unexposed enough to have improved from two to three, should there be a market move for any of them.
