Doncaster and Newbury provide the main horse racing action in England on Saturday and we’ve two tips for Doncaster and three for Newbury.
These include free tips for the Mansionbet Handicap Chase, the Mansionbet Yorkshire Silver Vase Mares’ Chase, the Betway Mandarin Handicap Chase Free Tip, the Challow Novices’ Hurdle, and the Betway Novices’ Handicap Chase.
The Mansionbet Handicap Chase looks a step down in class for Station Master after splitting the useful pair of The Young Master and Walk In The Mill at Cheltenham last time, especially since Walk In The Mill has since won the Becher Chase at Aintree.
The long straight at Doncaster also promises to suit a horse that could be suited by distances in excess of three-miles in the future. Station Master also had an alternative engagement at Newbury and, the fact he takes this easier-looking option, is possibly a tip in itself.

Lady Buttons comes out joint best at the weights with the useful Drinks Interval but should get the race run to suit her. That’s because habitual front-runner Drinks Interval may get taken on for the lead by fellow front-runner Rene’s Girl who is a course and distance winner.
Lady Buttons sat just behind the pace last time at Newbury and can hopefully do the same here before pouncing late for trainer Phil Kirby, who has been in fantastic form this season.

Carole’s Destrier would have eaten this lot for breakfast at his peak and, though he disappointed last time at Sandown, a repeat of the form of his two runs before that would give him a leading chance in this company. He should also relish this step up to 3 miles 2½ furlongs at a course where he’s run well in two renewals of the Ladbrokes Trophy, including when second to Native River off a mark of 148. He’s now down to a mark of 135 and this looks his best chance to get his nose in front for a while.

The money was down on Champ last time when he sauntered to a course and distance handicap success off a mark of 139. Trainer Nicky Henderson must have thought it was gift week when he saw that mark and it’s no surprise to see Champ pitched into Grade 1 company now that the handicapper has raised him to 150. That means he’s officially rated 7lb+ superior to all of his rivals and several lines of collateral form suggest he’s worthy of his position at the head of the market. All six of his improving rivals also won last time out though, so don’t go mad.

Onefitzall has been lightly-raced since winning a handicap hurdle off a mark of 133 at Newbury in 2016 but the former Philipp Hobbs trained 8-year-old has been transferred to Nicky Henderson this season. Henderson is wasting no time sending this embryonic chaser over fences and he gets a handy looking 11lb from Henderson’s other runner Whenyereadyfreddie.
