Free Premier League Tips For 2nd April
Published on 01/04/19
Watford and Wolves will face each other in the FA Cup semi-finals at weekend but, before that happens, both teams are in action in the Premier League on Tuesday night (April 2). Watford look to have the easier task on paper as they take on Fulham, whilst Wolves take on a Manchester United side that they knocked out of the FA Cup at the quarter-final stage.
Check out stats, analysis, and free tips for Watford vs Fulham and Wolves vs Manchester United.
Watford vs Fulham (7.45)
Fulham are just one defeat away from relegation and, as they’ve lost their last eight matches, Watford may well end their survival hopes on Tuesday evening. Despite that, Fulham haven’t been disgraced in any of their four games under Scott Parker, who has had something of a baptism of fire having had to play against four top-eight teams.
Watford may have a FA Cup semi-final at the weekend but that didn’t stop them trying until the bitter end against Manchester United on Saturday, even if a 90th minute goal by Doucoure still meant they lost 2-1. That means that only Liverpool have managed to stop Watford scoring in any of their last eight games.
The big question is, will Hornets manager Jaci Gracia tell his players to take it easy to reduce the risk of injury with a final at Wembley just one win away? The suspicion is he probably will and, even if he doesn’t, the players themselves are likely to want to avoid missing what could be the biggest match in some of their careers.
That means Fulham should certainly be able to create chances, making this is a game where both teams are expected to score, whatever the outright result. As well as Watford scoring in seven of their last eight games, Fulham have also scored against Chelsea, Leicester, and Liverpool under Parker, and they should find this easier than Saturday’s match against Manchester City.

Wolves vs Manchester United (7.45)
Wolves are currently best-of-the-rest in the Premier League in seventh place, but they could easily slip down to eleventh-place with Leicester, Everton, Watford, and West Ham all within two points of them.
The big dilemma for Nuno Santo and his players is do they prioritise their Premier League position over the chance of playing in the FA Cup final? The answer is they probably will, with the chance to win some silverware surely being much more appealing to the club’s owners than the extra money they’ll win for finishing higher up the table.
Despite Wolves having already won a point at Old Trafford and won the FA Cup semi-final at Molineux, that’s why it’s easy to see Manchester United being the much more motivated of the two teams here. As they’re fourth in the table, Ole Gunner Solskjaer’s side are currently in a Champions League spot, and they’ll want to stay there. Three-points here would be a big help as Arsenal and Chelsea are just a point behind.
It’s also worth remembering that United are still unbeaten in the Premier League away from home under Solskjaer, with wins against Crystal Palace, Fulham, Leicester, Tottenham, Newcastle, and Cardiff. That’s why a United win could be decent value at odds against.
