Free NBA Picks For Friday 29th March

Not many predicted the Pacers finishing with a better record than the Celtics this season but that’s entirely possible if Indiana wins this game on NBA Friday.

Indiana Pacers vs. Boston Celtics @ TD Garden

Past Meetings And Form

The Pacers and Celtics have split their two games this season, with the Celtics winning most recently in January 135-108.

Recent form is tough to come by for both teams, with the Celtics and Pacers winning only one of their last five games. The for Pacers, that win was an emphatic 128-88 win over the Nuggets and the Celtics did enough against the Cavaliers.

Kyrie Irving will be rested for this game for Boston and that should help Indiana, which is also missing their star Victor Oladipo through injury.

The winner could see their stock rise in the Eastern Conference and there’s plenty on the line.

Boston has lost their last two home games against the Nuggets and Spurs, and we’re not sure if they’re playing well enough to win this game.

That being said, the Pacers have been absolutely woeful on the road over their last 10 games, winning just one and that came a month ago against the Washington Wizards.

This should be an interesting game but we’re giving the edge to the Celtics, simply because they need the win more and they also need to show that they can win without Irving in the lineup.

Golden State Warriors vs. Minnesota Timberwolves @ Target Center

The Timberwolves are out to stop a recent skid and the Warriors will be looking to fine-tune their team for the impending NBA playoffs.

Past Meetings And Form

This will be the fifth meeting between these two teams this season with Golden State taking the last three after dropping the first game 114-110.

Recent winning form has been tough to come by for the Timberwolves, which fell to 33-41 on the season after losing to the Clippers earlier this week.

On the bright side for the Timberwolves, they’re 23-12 at home and that’s a respectable record for this game as the Warriors haven’t been overly great on the road.

Warriors are 51-23 this season, which is a dip in form compared to recent seasons. Consistency has been tough to come by for the reigning champions and they’re a risk of losing this game.

With the playoffs approaching, you would assume the Warriors would want all their players to get on the same level, which has been troubling them this season.

Trusting the Timberwolves hasn’t been easy for bettors this season but we think they could push the Warriors close in this one.

They match up well enough and if they can limit the Splash Brothers from outside the three-point line, they stand a chance of causing an upset.

We’ll take the points on offer.

Denver Nuggets vs. Oklahoma City Thunder @ Chesapeake Energy Arena

Two quality Western Conference teams do battle in Oklahoma City as the Denver Nuggets face the Thunder to determine playoff positioning.

Past Meetings And Form

The Nuggets are 3-0 against the Thunder this season, which includes an away win in November.

Away wins haven’t been easy for the Nuggets this season, with recent losses coming to the Pacers and Warriors on the road.

The Thunder haven’t exactly been a model of consistency at home, with five losses from their last eight games at Chesapeake Energy Arena.

OKC is coming off an impressive come-from-behind win over the Pacers where they were behind 10 points but went on an incredible 24-0 run in the third quarter. It was a sight to see as three-pointers were being drained from all around the court and it showed other teams what the Thunder are capable of.

Russell Westbrook had an off night, but his teammates picked up the slack and if the Thunder are going to make it past the first round of the playoffs, all their stars will need to shine.

This is a tough game to predict and bookmakers shouldn’t have much between them in the betting, but the OKC Thunder should be favored and rightfully so.

Denver might have the better team this season and the better record, but arguably the Thunder have more star power and they could flex their muscles in this situation.

In front of their home crowd, we’re expecting the Thunder to put in a performance that could make the likes of the Warriors and other leading teams have something to think about as the playoffs draw closer.
Bettors should take the Thunder in the straight up markets as Denver has the ability to keep this game close throughout.
