We’ve picked out three top NBA games playing on Tuesday 5th March, analysed the stats and recommended our best picks
Denver Nuggets vs. San Antonio Spurs @ AT&T Center
There will be plenty to prove this Tuesday for the Nuggets and Spurs, with both teams posturing for positions in the upcoming playoffs.
Past Meetings and Stats
The last time a road team came away with a win in this matchup was 2017 when the Spurs scored a 28-point victory in Denver. It has been home cooking for both teams since, with the Spurs winning six of their home games and Denver winning three.
That’s going to make it tough for the Nuggets here but this is a much better Nuggets team than in previous years. They are only a 15-14 road team this season, which is below where they want to be, but we think they’re a good chance to come away with the win.
Spurs have some injury concerns and although they have been tough to beat at home with a 24-7 record, they’re anything but the usual Spurs side this season.
Nuggets have been one of the more impressive teams in the west this season and that should continue over the final weeks of the regular season.
Bookmakers can’t split the two teams and that leads us to believe the Nuggets will be the best-backed team coming into this game.

New York Knicks vs. Sacramento Kings @ Golden 1 Center
This isn’t a marquee game but bettors find the Kings in a good spot this Tuesday and there’s always money to be made betting the NBA.
Past Meetings and Stats
The Kings have won five of their last eight games against the New York Knicks and despite coming into this game riding a three-game losing streak, they will welcome the Knicks with open arms.
Kings lost to the Timberwolves, Bucks and Clippers in recent times, but they pushed the Bucks to overtime (141-140) and it’s those kinds of performances being the reason why many punters have backed the Kings this season.
Buddy Hield has been good for the Kings, scoring 20.9 points per game and considering the Knicks top scorer is Kevin Knox with 12.5 points per game, the floodgates could open up for the home-court side here.
It’s clear the Knicks are playing for a better draft pick. Their 13-50 record reflects their current status and with the Kings still being a playoff contender, this game has the potential to be a one-sided affair.
Knicks have won only two of their last 10 away games and those came to the struggling Lakers and Hawks.
Bookmakers haven’t set a line at the time of writing, but we’re predicting it to be in the 10-12 range. That shouldn’t scare Kings’ bettors off as they’re clearly the better team, which has more to play for on Tuesday.
They have the ability to score big game totals and with totals such as 135, 127 and 140 over the last month, we can’t see the Knicks having enough scoring power to keep up with the consistent Sacremento Kings.

LA Clippers vs. LA Lakers @ STAPLES Center
It has been a tough season for LeBron James and the Lakers, languishing in the Western Conference with a 30-33 record.
To make the playoffs, the Lakers need to make a late-season run and they are capable of it, but standing in their way are the Clippers, which are secured a playoff spot if they continue on their current trajectory.
Past Meetings and Stats
The Lakers scored an overtime win last month but the Clippers had won the past two games prior to that. The 123-120 win to the Lakers came in overtime and that will give them confidence, but clearly the more confident team in March are the Clippers.
Clippers have won five of their last seven games, with wins coming against the likes of Kings, Mavericks and Grizzles. They aren’t top teams by any means but they’re travelling better than the Lakers.
The LeBron-led team has lost to the Pelicans, Grizzles and more recently the Suns. That was a shocking performance losing to the Suns – a team in which is playing for a higher draft pick.
There is no current line for this game but with the Lakers being a popular play, we’re expecting bookies to open them as the slight favorites.
Even though the Clippers are the better side, they don’t have LeBron James in the team and although there are reports stating that James could be shut down for the rest of the season, there’s still around 18 games left this season and it’s not time to give up hope on the Lakers.
A significant winning streak will see them get right back into contention but it has to start against the Clippers on Tuesday.
