Houston Rockets vs. Charlotte Hornets @ Spectrum Center

James Harden’s streak might have ended but the Rockets have business to attend to this Thursday as they take on the Hornets, which have been tough to beat at home this season.

Past Meetings and Stats

The Hornets and Rockets haven’t played each other since 2017, where they met on four occasions and the Rockets won all four.

Without recent history to go on, we look at the past results for both teams coming into this game. The Hornets have dropped four of their last five, including their past two at home and they will be looking to get back to their winning ways at Spectrum Center.

They are 20-11 at home and the Rockets have a losing 14-16 away record. They rebounded after consecutive losses by scoring back-to-back wins against the Warriors and Hawks. The Warriors win came without James Harden and that was some effort to win.

He is averaging 36.3 points per game and the Rockets should be tough to beat.

Despite some teething problems with new players this season, the Rockets should march towards the Western Conference finals given their talent.

With James Harden, Chris Paul and Clint Capela, the Rockets have all the talent to make a run and that starts by beating the Hornets this week.

Chicago Bulls vs. Memphis Grizzles @ FedEx Forum

The Bulls are a proud team and that has shown with their recent success. Standing in their way of another win is the Memphis Grizzles, which have been poor this season but caused an upset of the Lakers last time on the court.

It should make for a good game between two teams looking for momentum.

Past Meetings and Stats

The Bulls took the game 122-110 in their first meeting this season, which came earlier in February.
Over the course of recent history, the Bulls have had a good record (4-1) over the Grizzles and that includes winning two games at FedEx Forum.

Bulls have been going well after the All Star break, which includes posting wins over the Magic and scoring a big upset over the Boston Celtics 126-116. They came back to earth when being beaten by the Bucks 117-106 but they led for the majority of that game.

Form has been hard to come by for the Grizzles but they do come into this game riding a win over the Lakers and LeBron James. Prior to that win the Grizzles had lost their last four and it wasn’t looking good for the 24-38 side.

Grizzles have the much better record but one team is playing decidedly better at the moment.

Bookmakers have the Grizzles as the –3 favorites and given their record which includes eight more wins than the Bulls, we’re not surprised, but the Bulls have been playing well of late.

Injuries have robbed both teams of accurate records this season but the Bulls could be a giant-killing team down the stretch and with guys such as Zach LeVine and Wendell Carter Jr in the team, they can achieve some positive results to conclude the season.

Chicago Bulls vs. Memphis Grizzles Free Pick:

Bulls +3 @ 2.05 Asianodds, Pinnacle

Detroit Pistons vs. San Antonio Spurs @ AT&T Center

The Spurs looked to be cruising and overachieving this season but after dropping four of their last five games, warning signs have been sent to the players.

Detroit brings in some physical play and the Spurs will have to match that intensity to come away with a much-needed victory on Thursday.

Past Meetings and Stats

The Spurs scored a 119-107 win in Detroit the last time these two teams met, which made it 2-0 on the season after winning 117-93 at home in October.

Since that time, however, the Spurs (33-29) haven’t looked like the team ready for playoffs and coach Popovich will be upset about dropping games to Utah, Toronto, NY Knicks and Brooklyn over the course of their last five games.

It’s unacceptable from a team with the Spurs talent and the Pistons come into AT&T Center full of spirit. They have won their last four from five and the only game they dropped came to the Boston Celtics.
They might not have played the top-flight teams, but they did beat Indiana 113-109 on Monday and that bodes well for this.

Despite plenty going in favor of the Pistons, we’re sticking with the Spurs at home. They have won 22 of their 29 home games and there will be a big sense of desperation to pick up the win here.

Expect Gregg Popovich to have lighted a fire underneath the Spurs and they should come out with more enthusiasm against a Pistons team which they have handled for the most part throughout history.

Detroit Pistons vs. San Antonio Spurs Free Pick:
