There’s some top NBA hames on Thursday, we’ve picked out the best of the action and shared a free pick for each:

Milwaukee Bucks vs. Indiana Pacers @ Bankers Life Fieldhouse

This should be an exciting game between two teams which have been in form over the past couple of weeks.
The Pacers have won their last six games and although the Bucks dropped a recent game to the Magic, they had been riding a winning streak prior and got back to their winning ways against the Bulls.

Boasting a record of 42-14, the Bucks have emerged as title contenders this season behind the play of Giannis Antekounmpo, who is averaging 27 points per game with 12.5 rebounds.

Two powerhouse teams battle it out on Thursday and it should be a terrific game.

Past Meetings and Stats

It’s 1-1 in the season matchup to date with the Bucks taking Game 1 118-101 and the Pacers fighting back to win Game 2 113-97.

Playing at home has been a big factor for the Pacers who hold a 22-7 record at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, but the Bucks have been solid away from home with a 19-9 road record.

The Pacers have somehow managed a good record at their leading scorer is Bojan Bogdanovic with only 16.8 points per game. They have relied mostly on their defense but they might need to up their scoring against the Bucks.

Milwaukee averages 117.2 points per game, which is nine points more on average than the Pacers and there is only four points between them on defensive averages. That plays into the Bucks’ hands for this game.

Verdict

It’s not easy to bet against the Pacers at home but the Bucks should have too much length and scoring power for the home side.

With the “Greek Freak” playing as well as ever, we’re picking the Bucks to continue their rise up the standings.

Houston Rockets vs. Minnesota Timberwolves @ Target Center

It hasn’t been happy days for the Timberwolves recently, losing four consecutive games and having quality players sitting on the bench.

The likes of Andrew Wiggins and Robert Covington are on the disabled list and that’s going to make it tough to be a fully fit Rockets team which hasn’t impressed much this season either.

Rockets sit at 33-23 on an inconsistent season to date and they are struggling to beat the high-quality teams. Luckily for them the Timberwolves aren’t a high-quality outfit this season.

Past Meetings and Stats

Timberwolves took the only game these teams have played against each other this season. The 103-91 win was a good home victory for the Timberwolves, but times have changed since then.

Houston was really struggling to find their rhythm but that has seemingly changed now and they have found form of late. Wins over the Kings, Suns and Jazz were punctured with losses to the Nuggets and Thunder but the opposition becomes more easier for this Thursday night affair.

Rockets will be vying to be 14-14 on the road with a win.

Verdict

Houston needs to start making a run in the West otherwise they will get left behind. The Timberwolves are horribly out of form having dropped their last four games and this could extend that losing streak.
This is a game Houston will target as a must-win game.

Sacramento Kings vs. Denver Nuggets @ Pepsi Center

Many bettors will look at this game and immediately assume the Nuggets will win, but we’re thinking this game will be a lot closer than at first glance.

Denver has an imposing 23-4 home record and that’s tough to look past but have dropped a few games on the bounce and their injury problems aren’t making it easier.

Kings have surprised a few teams lately and they could pull off another upset victory on Thursday after beating the likes of Philadelphia and San Antonio in their last six games.

Past Meetings

The Nuggets have taken both games this season but the most recent game was much closer after losing the first 126-112 in Denver. The Kings pushed the Nuggets to within four points and that effort holds them in good stead for this.

Looking to win their third consecutive game, the Kings are in much better form than their opposition, which has lost four straight games.

Injuries are also a problem for Denver with the likes of Gary Harris, Paul Millsap and Isaiah Thomas keeping the bench warm.

Verdict

The Kings aren’t the most attractive team in the league but they are a young, fresh squad which features the likes of Buddy Hield and De’Aaron Fox.

Things are only going to get better for the Kings, as they have recently, and we can see them scoring an upset over the out-of-form Nuggets.

Bettors will be getting good value for the away side.
