Football Tips: Fill Your Boots With Festive Four-Timer
Published on 23/12/14
The festive football period kick-offs on Boxing day when the big-four of Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal all look to have outstanding chances of victory.
Winning the Christmas expenses could be as simple as sticking the four of them in a win accumulator, but hopefully our football tips will prove even more profitable.
Chelsea vs West Ham
A big clash of statistics in this London Derby as Chelsea bid to maintain their 100% home record against a West Ham side that has lost just 3 of its 8 away games. Chelsea have managed to keep a clean sheet in six of their eight home games, whilst West Ham have managed to score in every game on the road this season, however West Ham haven’t managed to register a goal at Stamford bridge on their last three attempts, though did manage to hold Chelsea to a goalless draw last season. Chelsea are just 4/11 to maintain their 100% home record, whilst it’s 5/4 they win to nil, yet 12/5 to win and both teams to score – which looks the value.

Manchester United vs Newcastle
Both teams have seen a decent run of form end recently, whilst the last four renewals have been a mixed bag: 3-0, 1-1, 4-3, 0-1. However, since September, Man United’s home form has been difficult to fault with seven wins and a draw, including three clean sheets in their last four games. Newcastle have also started to struggle away from home with just one point from three games, and lost at home to Sunderland to nil in their last match. United are 6/4 to win to nil and look in the form to do so, despite only drawing at Villa on Saturday.

WBA vs Manchester City
West Brom have struggled to repel the better sides this season at home, losing to West Ham, Newcastle and Arsenal, and scoring just 5 goals in their last 8 games. They have also lost 8 of their last 9 games against Manchester City. Meanwhile, City have won their last three away games, conceding just one goal. City should take this on all form, and the 13/8 to win to nil looks the best value.

Arsenal vs QPR
Since QPR’s return to the Premier League, Arsenal have won both the corresponding fixtures 1-0. In recent weeks, Arsenal have also looked to be getting back to the form that should see them claim another Champions league spot come May, whilst QPR have lost all of their away games, five without registering a goal. Arsenal to win to nil again looks the value at 5/4.
