Premier League Predictions For Sat 30 December
There’s no let-up in the Premier League action as we approach the New Year festivities, and a Saturday afternoon of football looks the perfect excuse to have a few pints to warm-up the liver for New Year’s Eve. We’ve tips for Watford vs Swansea, Liverpool vs Leicester, and Huddersfield vs Burnley.
Watford vs Swansea (3.00)
Watford haven’t been an easy team to predict this season, with a 2-1 win against Leicester and a 4-1 defeat to Huddersfield in their last two home games just about summing them up. However, they have been largely consistent against Swansea in recent matches, winning 2-1 at Swansea earlier in the season, and winning the last two renewals of this fixture. Meanwhile, Watford also sit 12-points above bottom club Swansea, who have now lost their last 7 away games. Therefore, even at odds-on, Watford should be able to make it four consecutive wins against The Swans.

Liverpool vs Leicester (3.00)
Liverpool have won the last two renewals of this fixture, and won 3-2 at Leicester earlier in the season. Leicester have improved since though, and have won 2 of their last 3 home games against Liverpool. However, as Liverpool are fancied to win but are priced-up at prohibitive odds, this could be a game to play in the over/under goals markets. 2 of the last 4 games between the two teams have produced more 4 or more goals, whilst there has been a total of 20 goals scored in Leicester’s last 5 games, and a total of 15 goals scored in Liverpool’s last 3 games. Hopefully, it will be another goal-fest, as the game between the two teams was earlier in the season, and the odds for there to be more than 3.5 goals makes plenty of appeal.

Huddersfield vs Burnley (3.00)
Only Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham have come away from Huddersfield with 3-points this season. However, that’s still one more defeat than Burnley have suffered on their travels, with their two defeats coming at the hands of Manchester City and Leicester. The bookies have Huddersfield as the favourites but, though they managed to get a draw at Burnley this season, it was Burnley who had won the three previous games between the two teams. Burnley have also amassed 10 more points in total this season than Huddersfield, and are probably the value-bet to keep themselves in the hunt for a top-of-the-table finish.
