Premier League Betting Tips: 10-11th September

Sunday’s and Monday’s Premier League fixtures aren’t anywhere near as exciting as Saturday’s, but Burnley and Huddersfield could apply even more pressure on Frank de Boer’s Crystal Palace and Slaven Bilic’s Wet Ham, both of whom have yet to earn a point this season. We’ve tips for Burnley vs Crystal Palace, Swansea vs Newcastle, and West Ham vs Huddersfield.

Burnley vs Crystal Palace (Sunday 1.30)

4 Points from their opening three games is a fair haul for Burnley, especially as they lost their only home game to West Brom, beat Chelsea away, and drew away at Tottenham. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace Manager Frank de Boer has plummeted into to favouritism in the first Premier League Manager to exit market. That’s hardly surprising though seeing as his team lost their opening three fixtures against Huddersfield, Liverpool and Swansea, failing to score in any of them despite a more attacking approach under the former Dutch player. Palace will surely get some points on the board soon but, as Burnley had such an excellent home record last season, this looks another winning opportunity for them.

Swansea vs Newcastle (Sunday, 4.00)

Newcastle fans breathed a sigh of relief as they got off the mark for the season with a 3-0 win over West Ham, after suffering defeats to nil against both Huddersfield and Tottenham. Meanwhile, Swansea will be happy with 4 points from away games at Southampton and Crystal Palace, and a 4-0 loss to Manchester United was a slightly unfair score-line with United scoring 3 late goals as Swansea tried in vain to get on level-terms. Those results give Swansea the edge for me and, as they’ve won three and drawn one of their last 4 games at home to Newcastle, Swansea look a fair price to grab all 3 points.

West Ham vs Huddersfield (Monday 8.00)

Huddersfield have actually won 12 of their 22 matches against West Ham but, as the last of those was in 1972, those results should have little bearing on this match, unless Huddersfield manager David Wagner wants to use the stats for a bit of extra motivation. However, Huddersfield have made a decent start to the season with 7 points from their opening 3 games, whilst three consecutive results for West Ham have left Slaven Bilic blowing bubbles for all the wrong reasons. This is the perfect opportunity to break their duck for the season but, with Huddersfield proving hard to beat, I’d sooner lay West Ham at a shade of odds-on.
