FA Cup fever grips England’s football fans again this weekend, and many of them will be dreaming of going to Wembley in May.
Unfortunately, Burnley bit the dust in the first round, however our other two tips Manchester United (now 11/2 from 6/1) and Southampton (16/1 from 20/1) are still in the hunt and I don’t feel any need to add any more teams to our outright portfolio.
There are plenty of individual games to get stuck into though, starting with Cambridge and Manchester United on Friday, whilst the all Premier League clashes of Southampton and Crystal Palace and Spurs and Leicester offer Saturday’s best betting opportunities.
Cambridge United vs Manchester United
Cambridge have won all three of their games in January, but are still languishing in 12th place in Division 2.
Meanwhile, the FA Cup is Man United’s only realistic chance of winning a trophy this season, and will surely field a side capable of dismissing Cambridge with little fuss. 2/9 for a United victory doesn’t appeal but, with United keeping 3 clean sheets in their last 5 games – the 5/6 they win to nil looks a value bet.
4 points Manchester United to win to nil @ 5/6
Southampton vs Crystal Palace
Southampton may have needed a replay to see off Ipswich in round-3, and suffered defeat to Sheffield United in their League Cup quarter-final, but the Saints continue to fly high in the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Crystal Palace beat Burnley last time out in the Premier League, and dismissed Yeovil 4-0 in the last round. However, Southampton have won the last 5 games between the clubs.
The 8/13 for a Southampton win looks about right but, with Southampton registering clean-sheets in over half of their home wins this season, the 8/5 they win to nil again looks the value.

Spurs vs Leicester
Leicester won the last FA Cup tie between the teams, though that was at home, but they’re also having their best run of the season with 3 wins and a draw in their last five games, including knocking Newcastle out in round-3.
Spurs have also won their last 3 games, and won at Leicester earlier in the season.
Spurs are fancied to win but, with Spurs scoring in all of their last 6 games, and Leicester scoring in 5 of their last 6 games, Spurs to win and both teams to score looks the value play.
