Football Betting Tips: United Can Paint White Hart Lane Red

Posted December 27, 2014 | By Tim @ Betting Gods

Boxing Day provided some great Premier League action, and more superb festive action follows hot on its heels with top-half-of-the-table clashes including Spurs vs Man Utd, Southampton vs Chelsea and West Ham vs Arsenal.

Read our football tips for all the best of the action below:

Spurs vs Man Utd

Man Utd haven’t lost at White Hart Lane in their last 13 visits, though 5 of the last 7 renewals have been draws. Spurs have also been struggling at home this season, scoring just seven goals in their last eight home games, whilst Man Utd have kept just one clean sheet in their last ten away games.

A draw is definitely the percentage play on stats, however, having watched United’s new wing-back formation with Rooney playing in midfield, I think they might make it 9 wins in 14 renewals.

3 points Man Utd @ 13/10

Southampton vs Chelsea

Southampton seem to have quickly got over their little bad-patch of form and have scored three past both Everton and Crystal Palace, whilst they have kept six clean-sheets in nine home games this season.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have scored on their last nine visits to St Mary’s and have been beaten just once on their travels this season.

It’s also one win apiece since Southampton returned to the Premier League.

Not a game I want to take odds-on Chelsea to win, and the 11/10 for both teams to score appeals more.

3 points both teams to score @ 11/10

West Ham vs Arsenal

West Ham might not have won this fixture since 2006, but have a fantastic home record in the Premier League since September. They’ve won six of their last seven home games, including against Man City and Liverpool.

Arsenal have won just one of their last four away games, lost the other three, and Arsene Wenger’s team talk is likely to focus on their superiority over West Ham in the last few years. However, talk comes cheap and this may be West Ham’s day.

2 points West Ham @ 13/5

Newcastle vs Everton

Having ended Chelsea’s unbeaten record, Newcastle have surprisingly suffered three straight defeats. They’ve also lost three of the last four corresponding fixtures, including the last two.

Everton aren’t exactly setting the world on fire at the moment though, having won just one of their last six Premier League games, and just two away games all season against Burnley and WBA.

Despite their superior record in the fixture, Everton are hard to fancy, and it’s impossible to understand why they’re priced-up as favourites as the away team.

Newcastle might not be full of confidence but they can regain the winning thread at generous odds of 2/1.

2 points Newcastle @ 2/1
