Everton vs West Ham Match Details
Everton vs West Ham kicks-off at Goodison Park at 12.30pm on Saturday 19 October and is being shown live on BT Sport.
Everton started the 2019/20 Premier League season as favourites to finish best of the rest behind the big-6, but that looks a pipedream as they’re currently languishing in 18th position. They started well enough with a draw at Crystal Palace and a win at home against Watford, and they won their second home match against Wolves.
It’s been all downhill since then with four straight defeats including away defeats to Burnley and Bournemouth. But, more importantly, Everton have lost their last two games at Goodison Park against Sheffield United and Manchester City.
Goals have been the main problem for the Toffees, who have failed to score in half their matches and have only scored five goals all season.
West Ham Form
The season was going great for West Ham until their last home match against Crystal Palace. A win there would have moved them up into fourth in the Premier League table, but that unexpected defeat leaves them in eighth-spot with 12 points.
That was West Ham’s second home defeat of the season, but it’s interesting that The Hammers are yet to taste defeat away from home in the Premier League this season. That unbeaten run actually stretches to six games when you add their two away wins over Watford and Tottenham at the end of last season.
Everton vs West Ham Head-To-Heads
Everton and West Ham have met 46 times in the Premier League and it’s Everton that boast a far superior record. Everton have won 25 of those matches including 14 of their 23 home games. They’ve also won 11 times at West Ham, whilst 12 matches have ended as draws.
That means West Ham have only won nine matches against Everton, but four of those were at Goodison Park. They also recorded the last of those victories in September last season, winning 3-1 thanks to two goals from Yarmolenko and one from Arnautovic.
